Has the stomach flu been prevalent elsewhere? I got it over a week ago and had explosive diarrhea which caused bleeding hemorrhoids. Just now able to eat real food again. Worst stomach virus I've ever had. Had to actually go to the ER last Friday. I wouldn't wish it on a Ky or Fla. fan! ...........TMI?

He claimed to be a scientist for years until he was called out! Then claimed he never claimed to be a scientist but let people say "Bill Nye the science guy" for years until he was discovered.

I'd say a mechanical engineer is an applied scientist, but what do I know, I'm just a biologist. Hey, does that make me a scientist?

I saw an article where it said 25% of guys try it in college. Doesn't mean your totally brokeback mountain but there's a good chance.

Hahahaha

Indubitably. I really don't think that you are cole slaw, however.

Funny you say that, as you can't get the graduate degree I have from UT without a research-based thesis. I was making fun of the type of people who invariably, when faced with information they cannot refute, resort to ad hominem attacks or the semantics of whether or not a mechanical engineer is a scientist (as if that has any bearing on his arguments).

What was your thesis

Sounds interesting. Was the focus on growing dependence of human populace or just a general consensus?

Mathematical population modeling using 20 years of mark-recapture data and using average home range sizes to determine effective sampling areas for population density estimates.

You have a link to your findings so I quit cluttering this thread with questions

I thought indubitably meant "undoubtedly." I completely believe that a biologist is a scientist in every sense of the word. For the record, I think that a mechanical engineer could also be classified as a science guy.
