You “insiders” kill me on this site. I’m seeing like a consistent 80-90% chance that pap is gonna flip, yet barely anything to support such circumstances. Why was anyone that high with this guy? One of the biggest recruiting head scratchers for me this year.

It was his opinion, that Helton wouldn't leave because of his salary. Head coach hire? Pretty sure he never said who the head coach would be. He guessed Peterson, who legitimately had interest. Never said he would be the guy. He said we didn't pursue Mullen very aggressively, not that we didn't pursue him at all. The other stuff you mentioned, I'm not sure on. Bottom line with Larry is, the guy is normally rock solid. Especially from a macro standpoint.

“It was his opinion” Lmao. In October he was saying Petersen wouldn’t consider us no matter how much we offered him, then a month later saying he’s the leading candidate? No, In November he said we would not pursue Mullen. All you’re doing is making excuses....

Saying we met with petersen and predicting him as our HC is literally no different than saying Pappoe will be a vol. get over yourself

Brother man..we pretty much didn't pursue Mullen lol. He said Mullen was ready to leave State for Tennessee, but Currie went after Schiano instead. If Currie/Haslam would have actually pursued Mullen he would be our head football coach right now. As far as Pappoe goes, Atlanta said he was a silent to Tennessee, along with a few other posts that made it sound like it was wrapped up. All Larry did was predict Peterson would be Tennessee's next coach. False equivalency here.

Currie tried to meet with his Saturday(talked a lot prior) but Mehlan stopped return his call and texts because Florida had already stepped in.... He said Petersen and Currie met and straight up said there was a great chance to land him and predicted him to Tennesse🤦‍♂️ He said that after a month prior that there was no interest from Petersen. He implied and said plenty of times he was hearing things from reliable sources. But sure not the same

Mullen didn't return his call after Currie had already crapped the bed with Schiano. A few days before he could have had Mullen in the bag, because Florida was targeting Chip Kelly (per Larry). With the Peterson deal he said there was mutual interest, which there was. He never made out like it was done, like Atlanta did with Pappoe.
