We still haven’t played a complete game. If not for penalties and dumb turnovers we could’ve beaten Mizzou by 30. Rain hurt us against Vandy.

I’m not saying we’re great, but we haven’t played a complete game yet. And Wiscy and Michael aren’t that good. Not unbeatable by any means.

By losing to a really good Oregon team... Lol ok boomer. Keep sticking your head in the sand.
Oh, so now Oregon is the really good team lol. Very few people think the PAC has any really good teams. That's why nobody wants them in the playoffs even if they are undefeated. Keep believing in your teams though.

Oregon was a play away from beating Auburn. Was Auburn not a good SEC team? It's hard to keep up with these things. I guess TN would wax Auburn too?

I do find it funny that we're not even a top 25 team yet, but some think we'd easily beat Utah. The reason why this wouldn't happen is because we haven't played a complete game. This team playing its best game for 4 quarters, in all phases, would beat a lot of teams, but we have no clue what that looks like yet.

It wasn't our best game for 4 whole quarters but the USC game was close to that. We were pretty much on all cylinders on offense, defense and ST with the crowd in the whole game.

If we had played the first two games like we played the last 5, we would be a top 25 team at 9 and 3. If we were playing a 2 loss Utah while 9-3 in a bowl, who would be favored? ..... The ones saying we could beat Utah are talking about how we are playing now.

Hard to know. We lost to BYU but UTAH really looked slow. No idea if we could win versus them or not. It would probably depend on who showed up at QB for us, which version of JG that is.

I love the way this team is playing now, but I strongly believe that those 1st two losses shaped this team into what they are now. I don't believe this is a 9-3 team if we win those first two games.

I agree with this... Imo we are right where we are 7-5 or 8-4... Those losses imo made these guys closer and taught them what a team truly is and they grew up.

Yep. It wouldn't happen because we haven't beaten a good team all year. Our best win is probably Kentucky, who is also 7-5 and got throttled by a 4 win South Carolina team. And we barely beat UK. UAB is the only other team we beat with a winning record.

I like where we're headed. A team that wasn't run well would have folded when we were 1-4. But we are a far cry from one of the top teams in the country.

It's a good thing last year's scores matter. Someone should tell that to the committee. Hell we should be in the CFP.

I forget, who beat Bama last week and how many points did we lose to Bama by?
You're being silly.

But hell, let’s go play Michigan or Wisconsin. Makes no sense to me
With that thought process, why are we in the SEC? We need to move to the Sunbelt or Ohio Valley Conference. If Tennessee does not desire to be the best and play the best teams then we are all wasting our money following just another program. And if I were a recruit I definitely would not be interested in identifying with such a program.

Seems kinda silly to make fun of Georgia Losing in the SEC championship game when UT hasn't been to one since 2007. A Georgia team that blew us out this year.

I'm glad they lost, but any Vol fan would gladly trade places with them in terms of national recognition the last few years

Nah, I’d rather not underachieve with Bama talent every year.
