well said! I'm from Medina, TN (right outside of Jackson). I live in Memphis now but i lived in Knoxville for 4 years for undergrad. Both sides of the state have things i love about them. Obviously the mountains are incredible in East TN, but the lakes/rivers in West TN provide some incredible scenery and beauty as well. Not to mention the hunting/bass fishing in West TN is just awesome. Let's all just agree the state of Tennessee is home and we love all 3 sections of it and its diversity.
Super similar! From Trenton, 6 years in Knoxville (4 for school then a couple more for work) then just moved to memphis last year. Just not enough ducks in East TN for me.

I am extremely proud of where I’m from. I’m from West TN, and most of you East TN folks would scoff, but I’ve seen the sun come over string of decoys on a January morning that would put any Mountain View to shame. Or a bald eagle hunting across the sky over Reelfoot Lake.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Obion River is my home. There is no prettier place on earth IMO.

I'm a West TN native (Gibson Co) who has lived in East TN for the past 16 yrs. I love it here. I will admit when I travel back home West TN has its own unique beauty that I love.

I duck hunted on the Forked Deer River bottom and we had leases in Arky. We chased the waterfowl on Reelfoot also. I miss crappie fishing on KY lake but I make do where I am now. I guess I now consider myself a hillbilly and I love the mountains but West TN will always hold a place in my heart.

I’ve got a cousin that has a blind out on Walnut log. I’ve hunted out there a few times. I’ve also hunted with Caps a few times. A sunrise on reelfoot lake is a sight not to be missed in this lifetime. It truly is magical.

went out downtown to new Brewery. Folks were nice, but first question was 'did you go to MHS?' it s a fraternity. Some of the locals were snobby with my wife. I dont take kindly to that nonsense. We've thought about moving there....always liked Maryville. But when saw that, said 'noted'. Tri Cities is a bit more down to Earth. Well, people in Bristol
think their **** doesnt stink, which is tough to mask since Bristol is a **** hole.
You must have visited the wrong part of Bristol.

My mother in law lives about a 1/4 mile from the speedway. When we go visit, I enjoy the scenery for the most part but there isn't much to do or take in from that area that excites me. Just kind of meh. Most of the folks up in that neck of the woods are friendly and down to earth though. I'm from mid TN
