I am extremely proud of where I’m from. I’m from West TN, and most of you East TN folks would scoff, but I’ve seen the sun come over string of decoys on a January morning that would put any Mountain View to shame. Or a bald eagle hunting across the sky over Reelfoot Lake. Most people are proud of where they’re from. I know good people from Maryville, Alcoa, Bristol, Johnson City etc. every town has a few bad apples and I have never met anyone who thinks they’re better than someone because they went to some certain HS. Maryville and Alcoa have a great rivalry that’s only gotten better since now they’re 1 State Championship in football apart (Alcoa 18 Maryville 17).
Don’t judge an entire town or school over just a few people. I never understood why people think maryville kids are rich

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Obion River is my home. There is no prettier place on earth IMO.
Mormon?Completely off topic almost lol. I was in Knoxville helping a friend at the time sign up for college. Maybe about 12 years ago?? At this college they were giving tours to high school students and just giving them general information about community college being more cost effective first 2 years.
Anyway. A group from "Muryville" was there. And there was this one senior student that looked like she was cut out of a Freeform/CW drama haha. Just a complete bombshell! Every other student looked like they were in high school, but not this girl. It totally caught me off guard. I was only myself 22 at the time. I think it left a mental impression on me. The women I ended up marrying who is of Latin and Asian decent favors that girl quite a bit, and 4 years younger than that girl probably.
I'm sure that girl had more Irish in her blood though.
Yeah Maryville is a really good school. They generally have some of the highest test scores of any school in East Tennessee.
Reelfoot Lake area, early morning, WOW!I am extremely proud of where I’m from. See...people this is how you take a joke..instead of being a lil bee itch and getting ticked at Butchie for making an insensitive post because my mom has got days to weeks to live..I just laugh along with him because it is good joke and I know he meant nothing by it..
PSA for all the little SJW wusses out there..
@HoleInTheRoof be like "hold my beer."And I wouldn’t have done it if I had any memory recall...but I don’t. Prayers for her. Lost mine in 2006 on what would be a week from today.

well said! I'm from Medina, TN (right outside of Jackson). I live in Memphis now but i lived in Knoxville for 4 years for undergrad. Both sides of the state have things i love about them. Obviously the mountains are incredible in East TN, but the lakes/rivers in West TN provide some incredible scenery and beauty as well. Not to mention the hunting/bass fishing in West TN is just awesome. Let's all just agree the state of Tennessee is home and we love all 3 sections of it and its diversity.I am extremely proud of where I’m from. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder for sure, I love my mountain views but being an avid duck hunter I'd love to see what you're talking about first-hand no doubt about itI am extremely proud of where I’m from.
