i know y'all keep trying to carve out these plausibility footholds, but if you read the article, its vendors that have completed jobs, approved by the general contractor, and then told-- en masse- their work was inferior and payment wasn't coming (and then in some cases these "inferior" vendors are being asked to work for the trump org again!).

so the trump org is either just stiffing vendors, or is atrociously bad at vetting beforehand and keeps hiring "inferior" subcontractors. so, malicious or inept. i suppose it could be a mix of both. and the point you guys all seem to be missing is that it doesn't matter who else is sued how often; he's the president and he's still stiffing vendors, for example the handful of cities he holds rallies in and refuses to reimburse for security.
I like all your post and yes I like trump but people that rely on the internet for information about politicians etc really should question a lot of all this bs that is out there. I am not saying it is not true but the media in this country is so full of shil it is unreal.

OK Trump made billions stiffing contractors and even finds time to personally handle payments for his security. Does it make sense, seem logical? All my payments have come in on time. I know he is not working in my best interest, neither will the next guy. I am more worried about the house and senate criminals.

that's kinda the thing about leadership; if it occurs in your name, and under your watch, its your problem. of course he did just say "i take no responsibility for anything" or whatever, so who knows.

They don't miss a beat....and the viewers go right along with them.
You can pull stuff up from every news network from whatever starting point you want and the prevailing talk in late Jan. thru early March was the majority of Americans were still taking it in stride as an ordinary flu deal. As a matter of fact, most Democrats and many in media were hugely criticizing the president for putting travel bans on China when he did claiming it was racist and unnecessary. And many of them are still using their hate for the president to grossly politicize this whole thing. It is infecting people of all races and political persuasions. All need to put that crap aside and do what they can to help.

i remember democrats were being mocked for being alarmist.

Were they alarmists when calling Trump a racist and freaking out when the travel bans on China, Italy, etc were issued? Were they alarmists when Rachel Madcow was mocking the president for saying the big naval hospital was ordered to NY harbor and saying it would be there quickly and her laughing and saying it would be 3 or 4 weeks before it would get there? It was there and ready to accept patients in 9 days. And then there's the great example of the speaker Pelosi holding up the 2T relief bill for 3 or 4 days extra so she could push tons of pork into it that had nothing to do with helping the average american, while at the same time making utterly ridiculous comments that the President had blood on his hands. Give me a freaking break!

"not protecting trump but..." "watching too much cnn?" lol

i didn't say none of them got paid, i said 3,500 have sued him for nonpayment over the past 3 decades, which breaks down to once ever 3 or 4 days for 30 years. its a pattern of behavior. its explicitly laid out.
You can dislike Trump all you want. It's your choice and right. But how anyone with half a mind could criticize his running of the economy with weekly records being set in the stock market and the lowest unemployment rates since who knows when among other great things in regards to our economy before this pandemic struck is beyond me. And I sure am glad lying Hillary and her cronies weren't elected!

the economy is not the stock market, but i'll give him credit for not ruining obama's job numbers (who did the hard work, yet was endlessly criticized by the right).

Obama did a decent job, although it took 8 years, but most of the jobs created during his tenure were in the service industry, but we saw a lot more manufacturing "blue collar" jobs under Trump. Remember, that Obama mocked Trump for claiming during the campaign that he would revive the manufacturing and energy sectors (Obama's famous "You don't have a magic wand" quote". Trump's lighter regulations and his tax bill were viewed by economists as the reasons for an almost immediate upturn in business confidence, which in turn led to a rapid increase in business investments.

How good were the 10.9 million jobs under Obama?

February 24- Nancy Pelosi was saying, come on down to Chinatown! She didn't seem very alarmed.

The connection between economy and presidents is not only weak, but even the bit that is causative is lagging. The "Clinton Economy", "Obama Economy", "Trump Economy" had little to do with them. They will get credit among the populace, but the causality is very weak. A few policies can make some difference, but nowhere near the amount that people give them either credit or blame for.

Recently comedian, Theo Von, had a podcast with Glenn "Big Baby" Davis. Theo went to school at LSU and was talking to Davis about how he use to write papers for players. He would meet a coach at an on campus museum and exchange the papers for LSU gear and tickets. That coach he would meet was Donnie Tyndall.

fair assessment.

i'm sure they have no video footage of Donald Trump. you can stop the witch hunt
Basically the Russian troll farm model. Divide us unknowingly. Some seem ready to give into it and politicize it with anti-Chinese rhetoric.

I find it all very sad. This is no more to blame on them than AIDS blamed on the US. No need to demonize one another when we should all be focused on solutions. That goes for the paranoid CCCP. And our administration. I would hope we could exist at a higher standard, but we seem content to keep lowering ourselves.

Previous link shows some still want to latch onto demonization and divide. The only enemy here is the virus, as reporter Cuomo asserted.

The president has a huge impact on the economy. I see it first hand. Trump is viewed much more favorable by business. Deny it all you want but it's true.
I don't have to accept or deny, it's just data and truth over time. My first exposure was to the Clinton Economy. I knew the praise for "his economy" was bs then and I know praise and blame for any president is bs now and into the future. Unless the president takes over dicatatorial control over the means of production, he will always be nearly meaningless to the capitalist economy and its success or failure.

Again, presidents can make decisions and push bills. But they are nearly meaningless compared to the brute force of the market economy. I'm sure you don't believe we exist in a centralized economy.
