I think it will be a landslide myself. The left hates Biden they won't turn out for him.
The left is so left now that even Biden isn't electable for them. We're going to have to have a 3rd party soon since the extreme left of the Dem party like AOC and her ilk live in looney town.

Dems have to hope the economy doesn't get back on track before November. It's their only hope. And then they can spin it and blame it on Trump and say they can fix the economy, even though we had the greatest economy in history under Trump and his administration. People are going to vote based upon their wallets and their wallets have been awfully fat under Trump

economy will be important but isn't / wasn't polling as the biggest issue (or even top 4) of this election.

"Thirty percent say this about the economy, the lowest Gallup has measured for that issue in an election year since 2000, another strong economic year."

granted this polling was before the downturn, but that prob makes it a bigger issue for R's than D's at this point.

The Republican Party is repulsive enough to enough people that they'll vote Democratic just because Democrats aren't Republicans. And it's the same the other way. There will be no 3rd party swooping in to save the day.

Economy was the biggest reason that Trump got elected in 2016. And he did a great job with. it. People will remember that and they'll know that Trump and his admin can recover from this. What are the top 4 issues according to this polling?

The biggest reason Trump got elected was not being Hillary Clinton, IMO.

#1 healthcare (not surprising), terrorism / national security, gun policy, education. i was surprised those last three were voted more important than the economy. but as i said, this was before the downturn, i'm sure its changed to some degree.

Several Issues Tie as Most Important in 2020 Election

Which "left" though? The far left are not big in swing states anyway. They are in blue states that will be blue regardless.

Swing states - FL, NC, OH, PA, MI have more moderate lefts and decent AA pops. These 5 states went all Obama both terms. They all went Trump last time.

Biden, with his clear Obama connection, though nowhere near the speaker/motivator/leader, could still grab some of these, which could be enough.

This just feels like they are running Obama-lite. Obama would have slaughtered DT, so I think this is ~50/50 popular.

Trump threaded a needle in WI, MI, and PA that will be very difficult to repeat.

Interesting. America, thus far, has been unwilling to support gun grabbers so if that's top 4, I'd say that helps him tremendously. Trump has basically eradicated Isis so that helps him as well. As far as healthcare, this is yet again when people will think economically. I'd also say that economy will now be a major aspect of this election, as it should be.

They will all go Trump again, what makes you think they would be different with Biden? He can't pull anything that Hillary couldnt pull.

As above noted, not being Hillary is something he immediately pulls off.

And the AA vote and Obama connections are big.

Hell, Al Gore almost became president essentially on just being the VP under Clinton. GHB literally did. The history of VPs becoming Ps is pretty strong.
