That is sweet, but does not change facts or reality. Stock market indexes are not full of the wages, employment rate, etc from small, middle, and most large companies.
It is shareholder returns of the largest companies. What is good for the top shareholders is not the economy lol.
Ask any financial advisor or accountant. Shareholder returns and economy are different. I thought this was common knowledge.
I hope that the people see it for what it is...but one thing that this has taught me is that people are not that sharp. Throw a little fear in the mix and (seems like) most people run into the nanny states arms.I am convinced many of the states with democratic governors are doing everything they can to delay re-opening business, etc just to try and stoke protests, division etc to make the administration look bad and to continue to ask for bailouts and more gov't assistance to save their arses from being broke even before this virus hit.
Oops I'm a CPA and co-run my wife's business. Not that running a business has anything to do with understanding the stock market, unless it in that arena. But thanks for your concern. I am certainly no expert at politics and 99% of other things. I'm admittedly a complete donkey at medicine and science. But I do understand this area very well.Common knowledge on VN is that you think you know more than what you actually do. Please get a job or start a real business
I know I pretty much am. We have flattened the curve for now. Some risk has to be taken at some point and this coming month seems as fine as another.I hope that the people see it for what it is...but one thing that this has taught me is that people are not that sharp. Maybe it is because so much of the media portrays it that way...I am not sure, from talking to people from several different counties while working, about half are sick of it, and are ready to just get on with life, and half are so blinded by fear they will do whatever the state tells them.
I think the opposite is also true. Republican governors are opening back up to try and forestall that narrative.I am convinced many of the states with democratic governors are doing everything they can to delay re-opening business, etc just to try and stoke protests, division etc to make the administration look bad and to continue to ask for bailouts and more gov't assistance to save their arses from being broke even before this virus hit.

Good article in The Federalist by Margot Cleveland, who always brings the goods. All these recently declassified documents continue to show how our justice and intelligence departments were weaponized by the last administration to spy on the Trump campaign, and even after it was obvious that there was no 'there there.' the Mueller Special Counsel was then created to dig up dirt on anyone associated with Trump presidency to try to reverse his win. This scandal was/is apparently so wide-ranging that federal prosecutor John Durham has brought in more investigators into what is a criminal investigation.
SHTF
Would not disagree there brother, not the most important at all, though CFOs can have serious importance. Many aren't even value producing, just needed for regulatory or loan requirements.Every CPA thinks they are the most important person in the organization and look down their noses at the sales force. They are not smart enough to realize without sales, there is nothing for them to count. I love my CPA who is one of the best in the business but would drop him in a minute if it’s between him and my top producer.
I think it is slanderous to accuse the professionals who have dedicated their lives to protecting this country from our adversaries of being willing participants in undermining our democracy. And in case you didn't notice it, the Senate intelligence committee, a majority of which are Republicans and the Chairman of which is a Republican, issued its final report saying that the Russians did actively interfere with the 2016 elections in favor of President Trump. So even Republicans say there is a "there there"
But I'm sure Putin appreciates your support.
Yes the Russians did try to create divide in the US knowing Trump getting elected would exacerbate the divide. They also put out many fake social media reports to stir both sides up to cause more divide. Since the election, the continuous criticism of anything Trump has done from the Democrats and the MSM has grown the divide much more than Russia could ever have imagined. I'm sure Putin is thanking them daily.I think it is slanderous to accuse the professionals who have dedicated their lives to protecting this country from our adversaries of being willing participants in undermining our democracy. Wikileaks/Russia hacking the emails from the DNC server and releasing them is the main way they exposed Hillary and the DNC before the election... thus benefiting the Trump campaign. The Mueller report found NO collusion with the Trump campaign on the Wikileaks emails or any other Russian contacts for that matter. In fact the FBI and other Mueller team officials knew there was NO "there there" early on and continued to get fraudulent FISA warrants on Carter Page to continue to spy on the Trump administration after the election.
There is NO justification for the FBI to spy on any US citizen based on unvalidated reports .. especially when it is mainly due to political bias. This is what the leftover Obama FBI/CIA officials did. Any US citizen should want the people exposed and punished who used the Federal Govt Power to do this no matter which political party they belong. Otherwise it will happen again .. only it will be against your political party next time.
Fixed it.Oh gosh. somebody better tell Durham to shut the investigation down. I saw that the Senate Intelligence Committee's report, basically written by Richard Burr (R) and Mark Warner (D). If you want to believe them, based on the overwhelming evidence to the contrary (the IG Report, along with the now-declassified footnotes from the IG report, plus the thousands of declassified documents that Judicial Watch, among others, sued the Justice Department and State Dept. to get released), then go ahead. But I will trust what the AG has said recently over Warner and Burr.
But keep your head in the sand.
LOL. I guess this sort of nonsense is what happens when your worldview is provided by CNN and PMSNBC.
Wtf are you even saying? I am one of those professionals (retired). There are many more of them on here. Are you trying to speak for us?I think it is slanderous to accuse the professionals who have dedicated their lives to protecting this country from our adversaries of being willing participants in undermining our democracy. One other correction, you are insinuating that "no there there" meant there was NO Russian interference. Everyone agrees the Russians tried to influence the election.I think it is slanderous to accuse the professionals who have dedicated their lives to protecting this country from our adversaries of being willing participants in undermining our democracy.
