The stock market is always going up over time lol...are you new to the stock market?

Fwiw, the market is not the economy...
No it is not. The stock market is betting on the future of the economy.

I do have some experience here and I can tell you this. The stock market plummeted when the Dems started blasting Trump. People (business people included) reacted. They reacted to see how Trump would respond. To the business world right now, and to an extent, a good portion of the economy. He nailed them to the cross that was meant for him.

The stock market is betting that Trump wins out...for now.

Pretty much. Only difference. Tony was hyperbole. Roof is anti hyperbole. Same basic strategy, from opposite ends of the spectrum.

I still don't like the RF being clogged up with commit threads that are 2-3 yrs away, but at least roofs are more bearable. Tony could just never figure out how to do a thread right. There were plenty of examples out there...he just always felt he had to add some pizazz to his.

While we may bi*ch and moan with each other about...well...anything. We are still the RF, and we like our recruiting info straight forward.

Ok...our threads straight forward...our info...meh.
I was speaking more towards you can’t ignore because they’re the de facto official threads...but no disagreement.

In the long run? Yes, it has always gone up...based on future discounted cash flows to shareholders...that is not the economy.

And what most call the market is a basket of the 500 largest companies' shareholder returns. Again, not the economy.

Just look at stock buybacks. Or slashing all wages...great for shareholder returns. Nothing to do with the overall economy.

We were talking the economy, not the stock market. 2 different things.

No. You are talking about different concepts of the stock market. There are those who were born with golden spoons shoved up their ass (that don't give a shyt about anyone but themselves), and then there are those that actually are still betting on the economy. Two different scenarios. There are still plenty of us, who have money, that bet on the American people. We do still understand that the people are who made us what we are.

Maybe I am of a dying breed (hopefully not, but maybe), but I still understand that I am nothing without the people who choose to follow my vision and do the actual hard part.

That is sweet, but does not change facts or reality. Stock market indexes are not full of the wages, employment rate, etc from small, middle, and most large companies.

It is shareholder returns of the largest companies. What is good for the top shareholders is not the economy lol.

Ask any financial advisor or accountant. Shareholder returns and economy are different. I thought this was common knowledge.

What? Please explain to me how you come up with this shyt?

I wake up every day looking at the market. Have several financialist that not only watch the market, but speak to me daily about it. I make a lot of my business decisions based off of the market & economy (except the last couple of months, when it involved my employees directly). You're going to attempt to school me on the market?

You're.getting your info from main stream media. I get mine from people that I'm paying to make the best choices...based off of my beliefs...which have nothing to do with golden spoons...or asses.

Actual knowledge...not media...it is sort of my area. Know more than your average S7 advisor...aka salesmen lol.

I'll leave it there. I like ya, no desire to "school" you. You seem smart, just confusing things here outside of your knowledge zone.

Peace brother.

If you think the stock market is the general economy, then bless your heart.

Dude. I like you too, but wtf? Outside my knowledge zone? Why do you think that?

He does this stuff periodically. Blow it off. He has no idea about the expertise and knowledge of some people who post on here.
I know. Thanks brother. I've had to delete three replies already, because I didn't want someone (not necessarily Devo) to take my response as being a pompous azzhole.

Yeah, I remember when someone on here thought I was being pompous because I didn't agree with them on how my money should be DONATED at UT.

Just like atlvol!! Thank you for your service. The best of service 🤣

We're cool brother. I try not to take stuff on here seriously. We come from all walks of life and have different opinions. It's all good.

This post offends me as I was born with no legs. You should apologize for your insensitivity or I might go cry about persecution on social media.
