I was actually referring to you.

As a defense attorney, I would defend her. It sounds like she could have handled her court appearance a little better and just gotten a fine. Her statement that the law isn’t more important than feeding her kids is somewhat akin to stealing food from a grocery store. It’s illegal, while being sympathetic.

I know not everyone knew how to take advantage or was able to take advatange, but the feds provided a lot of relief for small businesses.
And by small business, we rrreeeally mean big travel business that ONLY impacts certain peoples private island get aways.

Other 'small' businesses made off with millions too.

Why are we staying at home?

This thing needs to be over. Isolate the elderly, everyone else back to normal. Why are we continue to act like we have to hide in our homes? This is ridiculous.

Don’t you live in Ga? Thought you didn’t have to stay at home? Party it up my man.

I respectfully disagree here. What "law" did she break to be arrested for in the 1st place? The Governor issued Shelter In Place guidelines. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there was a "law" broke. And I take issue with the judge ordering her to apologize to him. He said she was being greedy. Are you kidding me? What about her constitutional right to remain silent?

The point I was making is clear. These restrictions are not helping anything. People at home are getting the virus. If we continue to be shut down, the impacts of this are going to be far worse with food production, shortages, job loss etc. the goal was supposedly to protect the hospitals. That has happened. The hospitals are not being overwhelmed, in fact they are going bankrupt and laying people off. There is no longer a good argument to continue to be shut down over a virus with an above 99% survival rate.

Good point about the hospitals although I’m fine with no one at the ER. As I’ve said before, I don’t want people to lose their jobs, but it goes to show how many people go for minor things. That drives up insurance costs.

But I said this a couple of weeks ago that it was going to be a slow rollout and not an automatic opening. I don’t need to debate the entire argument again. There are some sectors that simply take a while to get back to normal.

An executive order can be enforced, as it is my understanding. I don’t agree with sending her to jail. But the constitution allows for the executive branch to issue these type of orders. Our system has a checks and balances, and I’m fairly confident the judicial branch would be fine with most of it. Heck, the judicial branch essentially suspended its proceedings in most states. So, they did the same thing.

Everyone has an opinion on these things and just don’t want to be bothered by “orders.” I get it. I’m a capitalist, and I don’t lean the way people probably think I do. I’m just not hot and bothered by it.

The judge didn’t order her to say anything. She could have said nothing. But some sincere words could have gone a long way. Happens all of the time in sentencing hearings where judges are looking for some personal responsibility.

The only answer is @Bassmaster_Vol
Bass is just a sunshine pumper. Nothing wrong with that. Although I don't pay much attention to who says what on here anymore. I've learned it's much easier to skim for AV posts or Ron and Gucci sharing rivals and 247 info. None of which is 100%, but it does entertain me for a few minutes every day. Sab was a special kinda dude. Wrote a love letter to a recruit. Got into it with Mrs. Terry. Actually claimed he was good at breaking down qb's hudl film because he played qb all the time in his local 2 hand touch game. That's the special kind of stupid I am talking about.

LEGEN....DARY
When I read it back out loud, it sounds like a bunch of BS I am making up to slander the guy, but I promise someone can confirm everything I said, and probably add to it. The guy needed to be on meds.

Clearly, someone brought it into the home and passed it to the rest of the household.

I am a facer but my wife is a masker. We try our hardest not to bring it up when we go out and when we do it doesn’t turn out well. I do believe I am close to convincing her to come to the facer side though.... it’s a process.
I walked in a grocery store last week and was the only person not wearing a mask. The dirty looks I got were delicious.

As people stop wearing masks everywhere will there be virtue signaling about it?

Look at those Maskers, still spreading fear everywhere.

Look at those Facers, they don’t care about others.

I suspect facemasks are becoming en vogue as people get creative in how masks are designed and painted.

Last week the wife and I went out to Lowes. As we pulled in she proceeds to ask me: Do I need to wear a mask? I proceed to ask her a series of questions:

Are you under 40?
Do you have diabetes?
Do you have any kind of upper respiratory disease like asthma etc.?
Do you suffer from heart disease?

To give you a hint my wife is under 30 and has 0 pre-existing conditions.

She proceeded to look at me like I was a smart ass, flipped me the bird and put her mask on.

I think we are really making progress.

Do you talk to people under 10 and over 60?

The mask isn't for her. Something like 90% of people are asympotmatic. The mask is so SHE doesn't give it to someone else.
