That's not the point. He first said that he was the only person there not wearing one (so he clearly wasn't in your situation where you say half of them aren't wearing masks) and was gloating about the fact that he was getting looks from people who were wearing masks out of personal concern. It's not wearing the mask that I considered classless, it's him thinking it's cool to offend those who do wear their masks out of concern. So please be a little more discerning before you use your bold caps.

And I'm sure your employer would love to hear about your frustration over having to wear a mask when you visit Kroger or Walmart. Why don't you share that with your boss, or better yet the manager of Kroger next time you're there.
Why don't you send letters to the CEO's of Kroger and Walmart, better yet, all public retail outlets and demand that they require all who enter to have a mask on? Seems like that might satisfy you. And I wear it in stores requiring it. If they don't, then I don't. And ftr, my boss thinks it is stupid too when the customers aren't when they enter.

95% of Spanish flu deaths occurred during the second wave but yeah

Tell me how 1918 is like 2020.

Tell me how PPE is the same. Tell me how cultural norms are equivalent. Tell me how germ theory, medical advancement, and communication is EXACTLY the same as 1918 and I’ll believe you.

Bet you’d be one the dirty look people but not one to actually say anything about me not wearing a mask. Go find you somebody else to try and fear monger and virtue signal to, I ain’t the one.

Like I said, Maskers vs Facers.

It’s cool man. Luckily my grandparents are already dead. It’s other people that will kill their’s because they can’t stand not eating at Chili’s. I’ve been out of work for two months, yet other people’s safety matters to me. At least I’m not calling myself Pro-Life then being fine with a 9/11 happening to the American people every few days. We aren’t going to agree on this so I’ll leave it.

Have you been to your local home improvement store in the past few weeks? I was there today buying things I needed essentially to prevent the impending implosion of my home. I've know people carnally who never got as close to me as the folks trying to buy flowers, grills, and patio furniture who were there today. A lot of those same people were wearing masks covering their mouth and not their nose which left me wondering if it was a prosthetic or if they assumed that it was ok to leave a nose uncovered if you were only using it to hold up glasses.

People are stupid.
There's so many people wearing masks eight now that might as well not be. Over their mouth not their nose. Pulling it down when they talk. I guess they don't know it's only effective if they put it on right and leave it

You're damn right we aren't going to agree. The virus ain't going anywhere no matter how long you keep the world shut down.

I forgot viruses stopped mutating... btw, death projections made on April 28 for August were exceeded in seven days
Not sure if science and medicine are allowed in this conversation but they have already stated that this virus is physically large and it will not mutate nowhere near like others, including the 1918 flu.

But you seem pretty content scared, so stay scared I guess.

I promise that I'm genuinely intrigued by this and not asking to be a smart ass... Can you please provide a link to this?

Here's how scientists are tracking the genetic evolution of COVID-19

Something I found with a quick search before bed. I’m 99% sure Dr. Birx said it one day as well. Basically the covid19 cells (genome) are so much larger than Spanish flu, influenza etc that it’s basically lazy and less motivated to mutate. Which is great for herd immunity and vaccines.
