Like another poster mentioned - Tennessee is the Volunteer State -- we have a history of Volunteering and we don't lose polls or wars, skirmishes, or battles. It's in our DNA, it's what we do. When Kaidon is playing on Sundays you can tell your kids I remember the time, even before Kaidon got to UT, I and a few hundred of my closest VFL's helped him win the Dallas- Ft. Worth jumper of the year award. He went on to win the Heisman trophy while he was at UT - but we recognized that we could help him out before he even got here ….. and we VOLUNTEERED.

VOLUNTEER -- It's a verb and a noun. Try it on for size ….. you just might like it.
I’m at Ft Bragg and been back from Afghanistan for three months... try it on for size.
Edit: Don’t lecture people you don’t know, I’ve spent the last six years in a volunteer service and away on two continents. So if volunteering for a kids high jump poll is volunteering to you then you don’t know the damn meaning, don’t talk about battles, skirmishes bc obviously you don’t have a damn clue what you’re saying. H-minus ****head.

Heck, even when we are unarmed and a medic in battle we single handedly rescue 40 or 50 soldiers lowering them down a cliff face under massive enemy fire. We got this.

Proud and thankful for what you do to protect my family and all Americans -- I am sure you are proud of your comrades in arms, we are just trying to spread a little pride in our Vols. There used to be a lot of that around these parts and we are seeing glimmers of it returning. It's really all good natured, as is this contest. No one is forcing anyone to vote ….. we just like winning.

Use to be 1-325 red falcon before I moved to Fox-51 LRS before the shutdown then went to good ol’ panther brigade.

Nice, yeah LRS finally shut down what like 2015-2016? I had one of my guys go over there. Had one of my good friends go over to Red. I got out in December 2016.

Thank you for your service, greatly appreciated. I am also a veteran. Got out in the middle of 1990, I’m sure you know what that means. It’s hard adjusting to civilian life after and most don’t know how hard it is (it was for me). Kids now days don’t have a clue, thank you God, they don’t right now in their lives, it comes soon enough. I didn’t take that he was lecturing, more of spurring on Vol Fans to vote for this kid, and it means something to this kid now. Without sounding condescending, would love to hear about your service.
