Hillary is an excellent debater. She's incredibly smart. To say anyone would dominate her in debates is wrong IMO.

IMO, Rubio is the Republicans best chance. Deeply conservative candidates don't do well in swing states. And Rubio has a chance to take some of the Hispanic vote from Hillary. Don't see Cruz doing that.

And you're right about Trump. Him bullying a woman won't play well with undecided voters.

I would love to see hilary and Cruz in a one on one debate. Cruz wouldn't let her get away with her lies and very poor record.

How do we know deeply conservative candidates don't run well?

When's the last time we ran one? Ha. I know that's the prevailing thought. But where's the proof?

Polling in those states over the past several years. You're wooing undecided moderates in swing states.

Bernie is making Hillary go left of center on some issues, but in her heart she's a centrist.

Maybe, but he would just be hitting her on points that have been beaten to death over the past year.

In these debates, it's always better to be the one who is already getting attacked. If Cruz is the nominee, new stuff will come out about him. It ALWAYS does.

Maybe he can withstand tha to an extent, but I don't think he will ever "dominate" Hillary in a debate. I don't think anyone can.

She's a dishonest person with deep ties to Wall Street and lobbyist, but that doesn't mean she is not very very smart, or that she is not a very skilled debater.

Btw, Good discussion Volsam. Socially, I lean left and economically I'm more moderate and even a
Little to the right. I enjoy having civilized political conversations with all types.

Tell it, brother, tell it! Just ordered me a sweet Ted Cruz t-shirt the other day at tedcruz.org. This race isn't over yet. Ronald Reagan lost the first six states in the primary in 1976 and still managed to virtually tie a sitting president in his own party all the way to the convention. As a matter of fact, he probably would have left the convention as the nominee had he not made the rare error of naming a liberal republican as his running mate, forcing some delegates to move to Ford. We all know what happened in 80.

It's not a huffington post poll. It's an analytic average of many polls from many sources.

I'm assuming you didn't click the link

Also interesting from that, Kasich is polling better vs. Clinton than any republican.

Well the link does clearly say huffpost poll so I would assume it is indeed huffington post who collect and average those "many poll sources." Regardless, Republicans shouldn't take advice from a leftist website's analytics.

Polls are the modern way of media shaping opinion and affecting elections. I will not allow polls and coerced perception tools to alter who and what I'm voting for. Try as they may, I will not concede defeat before the battle even takes place. Polls probably would have suggested the colonists were doomed to humiliating defeat by taking on the tyranny of the King George. As such I'm fighting on and converting voters for Ted Cruz in my sphere of influence every day. To date none of us have ever seen a pollster.

Fair enough

Ted Cruz seems like he is so extreme right that he would try to do stupid stuff like privatize the National parks. I'm a centrist, and I understand we need to cut back some things, but this dude is a nut, I fear how far he would go. I will not vote for him, or Trump. I would vote for Rubio.

Firstly, being consistently conservative is not extreme. It used to be normal on some level in both parties. Secondly, I've not heard Ted say he will try to do this. All I've heard him promise is to undo every illegal executive order given by Barrack Obama, kill the hell out of terrorists for real and without mercy, enforce immigration, repeal Obamacare, support our veterans and troops better, flat tax with poor folks exempt, kill common core and return local control, defend and support our allies, create an environment that allows people to create real, full time jobs, and otherwise uphold the Constitution. That's not nutty to me, but, hey, different strokes.

My perception may be skewed, but it is the way I've seen him for awhile. He seems extreme right..to me. I'm no political savant, neither am I an ignorant rube. I am a social conservative, but a fiscal moderate. I believe in capitalism, but I hate...really HATE..unrestrained, uncompassionate greed. I may be wrong about Cruz, but it his fault I see him the way I do. I
I'll listen to argument for him, my brother loves the guy.

I think the media and the republican establishment have painted him as a nut. But they hate him. And they don't want to hold to the constitution as closely as he does. And he actually follows through on what he says. A breath of fresh air in the midst of a stinkpit in DC if you ask me.

When exactly did YETI become a lifestyle brand? Do people wear their gear to signify that they're in a high enough income bracket to afford a $400 cooler? Sort of like gold chains?
