His stance on Nuclear Non-Proliferation alone would get him booed off of a Republican debate stage nowadays.

No. You're wrong. Reagan was not a moderate centrist. People who actually knew him personally can confirm that. That's why the powers at be didn't like him. The Bush family tried to destroy him because of it. Listen to " a time for choosing" and ask yourself if that sounds like a moderate. His strategy on non- proliferation was not from a position of weakness but strength as he leveraged the Soviets into reducing their stocks. You could cherry pick a single issue here and there that would not gell with conservatives such as amnesty for example, but most of them can be explained. The democrats lied and refused to secure the border as was the deal. Lesson learned. That now serves as a real life example of why we can't do it again. Reagan also wrote a lot and read a lot. His writings and his reading list reflect his conservative philosophy. If Reagan were to be booed off stage it would be due to consistent conservative positions that people like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee hold today.

When exactly did YETI become a lifestyle brand? Do people wear their gear to signify that they're in a high enough income bracket to afford a $400 cooler? Sort of like gold chains?

They really crack me up in their defense of Yeti... My wife talks about how her ice in the water won't melt for 2 days...umm just get a little more ice...

Dads at Scout Campout: will keep food cold for a week...this is for a weekend campout by the way.

I may be old school. I don't mind buying more ice for my $20 cooler. It would take me about 20 years camping once a month with Scouts to justify the cost of the Yeti cooler.

He also compromise on a tax hike where the Democratic led Congress agreed to cut spending, which was a lie because the only increased spending. Another lesson that should be learned.

I won't ever buy one of the coolers. No way I could justify spending that kind of money on a cooler. Only if you are constantly outdoors for extended periods of time or wipe your butt with $100 bills could it be justified. With my life, I have neither luxury.

Got the 20 oz cup as a Christmas present though and I love that. Use it daily to keep my coffee piping hot. I hate lukewarm coffee, so it's perfect for me.

I got a cup too but I only use a cooler for the day. (Tailgating, boating or cookout ) so I'm in the same boat with justifying that kind of purchase. Hotels have ice machines, don't need the same ice for the whole football weekend.

If you are camping where it is hard/impossible/very inconvenient to get more ice, or if it needs to be critter proof I could see it. There are similar coolers popping up through other brands. I have seen an igloo clone of a yeti that was half the cost.

Good job democrats! I love the establishment. (Time warner owns CNN)

(CNN)—Donald Trump talked about his Christian faith Saturday, but said he's never sought forgiveness for his sins.
Trump believes in God, but hasn't sought forgiveness - CNNPolitics.com

Well, that's.......awkward. Two Corinthians moment. And then there's this gem. Skip ahead to about 45 seconds in and and prepare to go pffffffft:

Agree BUT...I'm not voting for a Christian I'm voting for someone that knows how to run a country. Being a Christian doesn't make you a good candidate, period

Not necessarily, but it doesn't hurt. The problem is that Donald in my opinion is pretending to be something he's not, a devout Christian, in order to get votes from people who do care somewhat. It's fraud.
Donald Trump knows literally nothing about running a country btw. Eminent domain real estate is not exactly relative. He's really good at taking homes away from little old ladies so he can build more limo parking for a soon to be bankrupt casino. He's also great at conspiring to hire illegal Polish workers to do jobs here while turning down 94% of American applicants. He tried to screw those Polish workers by not paying them their third world wages and then got sued and lost when they finally got the courage to come forward. Herbert Hoover was a great businessman who people thought would really know how to run things, too. That didn't end well. Those two actually share a fondness for sparking trade wars through tariffs. See Smoot-Hawley Act to get a glimpse of how well that works in reality.

The Trump campaign is the biggest con job on America ever. He says whatever it takes to move the polls in his direction. He has zero intentions on following through with anything. My guess is he'll go a complete 180 on many issues. He'll say something like in the business world you have to compromise to get anything done and that Tax increase was necessary to get the other stuff done. I never thought I'd see the day when the American voter would be gullible enough not to see right through him. He's a liberal running in republican clothing. He'll revert right back to his liberal ways right after he's elected.

Uhhh you realize basically everyone else that runs does that... lobbyists and big banks own them all. Trump is using his own money, which at least gives the perception he's not bought out to special interests.

No, Ted Cruz doesn't do that. That's why they don't like him. Also, Trump is loaning his campaign money, not giving it. Big difference. Donald IS special interest.

His own money. Lol.

You don't care where he is on issues as long as he's self funded?

They're all terrible people, you just have to choose the lesser evil IMO. The country is heading in the wrong direction regardless.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Nowadays, the candidates the Republican party is putting forward can't even speak in favor of the type of non-proliferation Reagan was in favor of because they'll be perceived as "weak" or "anti-millitary."

Meanwhile the favorite to win the Republican nomination has advocated comitting war crimes and "taking out" the families of known terrorists in order to fight terror.

You're kidding yourself if you think the party dialogue and outlook hasn't shifted. Reagan never would have taken part in the rhetoric of the current Republican candidates and probably wouldn't even be able to make it to the stage in the current political climate.

Ronald Reagan had a demonstrable conversion to conservatism long before he got elected president. Donald Trump can't hold Reagan's jock strap. There's a lot more to support that than you're meme. Also, are you saying that only billionaires can be trusted to run now because that's what it takes to "not be bought" like you so stereotypically paint every single person in our government? So somehow billionaires like Trump, Bloomberg, Gates, and Soros are the angels to save us like Daddy Warbucks? No thanks.

How is being bought any different than buying? Trump has used his money to buy political favors.

The point he was making wasn't about conservatism. It was that good leadership is more important than religious devotion.

Again where did I say that? Lol
