Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

She had taken hormonal blockers but still has a penis…. Female swimmers have complained about her not covering up in the locker room…. She is literally juwanna Mann.
Exactly. She's taken the transitioning horomones for years, as far as I've read. Not a stunt obviously...not a guy in drag as other poster suggested. No idea about surgery, that is another step...quite a big one in my opinion 😅 I can't imagine...but the drag resistance gainz...🤔🤔

Saying "transitioned" doesn't change the reality.

K. Was just pointing out surgery doesn't change genetics.
K. Cool non-sequitur. Apples are better than peaches while we're at it. What are we doing again? 😅

I was merely pointing out to poster she wasn't some guy in drag or whatever. Seemed to be confused.

Reality of what?

She's a woman. She may also have a possible biological advantage due to growing up with extra testosterone while developing.

Afaik that's as close to reality as I know. Of course, tons of opinion and disagreeing science is all swept in it. But that's as much as I know about her situation and others' trans athlete situations.

If a man wants to have surgery to become a woman, or vice versa, that's totally their right. The whole point of the conversation, though, is that it creates an unfair competitive advantage to let someone born a male compete as a female, regardless if they've had reassignment surgery or not.

Ok. Where did that debate begin? Was anyone arguing about that?

Try to follow. I disagreed with other poster she was a man or a cross dresser...drag...whatever they were thinking.

You're arguing no one. Goodness. Can't just correct someone without non-sequitur arguments out of left field.

Same old "hey, Saban's shirt is nice"..."you must love Bama" nonsense. Nuance is lost in society.

It's the conversation that's been going on in the thread. Perhaps you've just ignored those posts? Or maybe you're just playing SJW?

He is a biological male who looks and sounds like a male. Funny he chose this year to transition so the spotlight could shine on him.

No, 'she' isn't a woman and will never be. Every strand of DNA in 'her' body screams otherwise. Keep saying it though.

If aliens visited this planet and asked you to explain what a woman was, what would you tell them?

Focus on a specific point. Just because I correct one person, doesn't assume an entire argument.

If I think an opponent's stadium is nice...that doesn't mean I love the opponent team.

I'm not arguing against a person's right to do whatever they want with their body, but it totally goes against the spirit of sportsmanship to say it's okay for someone born a male to compete against females.

This. I'm fine with Lia being/identifying as a woman. I'm not fine with being forced to compete against her. That's simply not a fair competition. I think the issue is where the cutoff line is going to be because I think it would probably be fair if she'd never gone through male puberty but there are some things that can't be fixed simply by taking hormones, especially after the fact.
