People would be surprised if they knew how much restaurants use microwaves. Soups, gravy, casseroles, mac and cheese etc. are largely made at a food processing plant and shipped in.

Worked at Ruby's for years. All the veggies etc were microwaved. The only thing fresh was the salad bar and hamburgers.

Even the bbq sandwich was microwaved.
