The sooner the world embraces nuclear (again) the sooner climate and energy concerns get resolved. Mind boggling that the obvious solution to so many short and long term problems doesn't even get discussed most of the time because of what's almost superstition due to problems with the original technology from decades ago.Report: TVA's Allen Fossil Plant in Memphis ranks #10 in most contaminated U.S. sites – Tennessee Lookout
if only there were alternate energy options
Probably because when it goes wrong, it goes EPICALLY WRONGThe sooner the world embraces nuclear (again) the sooner climate and energy concerns get resolved. Pretty much every ship and sub in the navy is nuclear powered with zero issues. Why can't we build mini reactors all over just like they do?
You realize that's how we charge those electric vehicles?Report: TVA's Allen Fossil Plant in Memphis ranks #10 in most contaminated U.S. sites – Tennessee Lookout

It boggles my mind to think about the events and changes in the world that someone who was born in 1928 has seen....My family could use some prayers for peace and comfort. My wife's grandmother is 96 and has been in a nursing home for several months now. They just verified today that she has been having a series of strokes and at least one more serious stroke. They have started her on Morphin, so not sure how much longer she has. This is my wife's last remaining grandparent and it is hitting her pretty hard.

My last Grandparent died three years ago and she was 92...the stories she told me of living through the Great Depression and WW2 as a young girl blew my mind.
My Mother was a little girl during the Great Depression. It totally shaped how she would save and spend.
She told me that everyone had gardens for vegetables, but meat was hard to come by. My Grandfather would go hunting with one bullet for his 30-30. He never came home empty handed. Sometimes, it would take him most of the day. My Mother said that the days that he came home with a raccoon or possum were the best because a local pig farmer would always trade pork for them. He could raise pigs, but couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. He really liked raccoon and possum…
At the beginning of WWII, my Mother took a job with the FBI in DC in their fingerprint department. She was 16. Part of the War Effort she explained. Amazing tales of what Americans would do to support their country.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the country has the same level of patriotism anymore.
We are doomed..these latest two generations will literally open the gate for our enemies to come in...they have been taught to hate their own country by the pure traitors in education from bottom to top.My Mother was a little girl during the Great Depression. I approve of this messageWe are doomed..these latest two generations will literally open the gate for our enemies to come in...they have been taught to hate their own country by the pure traitors in education from bottom to top.
It is having the opposite effect of the nationalist propaganda we grew up with on our young people. At least I was taught to love our country.

People think educators are the ones propagandizing but I can’t even get them to read a syllabus. I think social media has a much bigger effect. We are doomed..these latest two generations will literally open the gate for our enemies to come in...they have been taught to hate their own country by the pure traitors in education from bottom to top.

I think loving your country is a good thing to a degree. You sure as hell don't want to depend on this generation to defend it.I think blind nationalism is a bad thing, but I think the vast majority of today's youth are grossly ignorant to the privileges' they have from living in the US.
They need less time on social media and more time traveling. I have quite a few friends/co-workers that are foreign and their world views and thoughts on the US are quite different than these young adults who've never been anywhere outside their own neighborhood.
I agree on the parents doing a better job but we definitely need to revamp our educational system.Yes it’s the “traitors” in education - absurd to me that people despise education in this country - and not the fault of the parents who raised them.
Just like a lot of people in this country to blame others for their own failures. I get it, the truth is scary and uncomfortable. But those kids didn’t F themselves up. And neither did their educators.
