Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

I think it was just all the civil rights riots and racial wars of the 60's that created that lull we experienced. Now again people are able to use the social media forum to broadcast any and all racial biases and slights, which in turn creates more hate.
Tbf every period was a lull compared to the 60s and 70s 😅🤣😂

Now...back to "white folks explaining how race relations have been just fine...according to them" 😆 But fr, grew up in the 90s in Knoxville...everyone had a story. It sucked, but was eye opening (ear opening?) to hear. Made you realize your experience can be far from others'...your memories of those times different.

Real talk rite here 💯 % facts even though some may not agree...carry on this just how I feel personally

Man we never dealt with the culture stuff if u were born between 1975-1990 u automatically started going to school with different races. We never looked at colors white black or brown,if we didn't like somebody it was probably just cause u were an a**hole.

Social media has destroyed most yall lives they just promote racism and hate everyday trying to divide everybody! We didn't have the tech tbeu do now though we had pagers and junk and u wasn't texting no racist sh*t on that lol...Yea we had th3 news and stuff but we weren't watching we was kids outside playing and stuff..

We also wasn't raised to be pu**ies and be offended all the time.If someone didn't like you your momma told u to quit being a Lil b*tch and find someone else to to kick it with and we did.It was the greatest era ever we didn't know so much about racism until now..

Not trying to be rude, but I would be willing to bet most teachers don't agree with you. If you didn't see a **** ton of racism in your school, it's either because there were barely any minority kids in your school or you simply ignored it. Maybe they weren't overtly racist like folks were in in the 50's, but I can't begin to count how many racist jokes I heard growing up from my friends. Or how many times I heard the n word going down the hall only to see the same guy sitting at the lunch table with his black friend. Or how many times I saw graffiti on the bathroom stalls using racial slurs.

Question guys, not football related but I'm coming into town next Thursday can I get a recommendation for some good food spots?
- Calhouns on the River (long time staple, ambiance, large portions, barbecue)
- Stock and Barrel (burgers)
- Downtown Grill and Brewery (billiards and beer flights)
- Tupelo Honey (southern fare and brunch)
- Five Thirty Lounge (for the view)
- The Hill (wings and pitchers)
- Copper Cellar (long time staple, though heard they’re closing)
- Balter Beerworks (happy hour beer and apps)
- Gus’s Good Time Deli (steamed sandwiches, Peyton’s favorite)

What’s better Gus’s or Hattie b’s?
The Hattie B’s in Memphis is good but Gus’s here is better, pended all Gus’s locations here aren’t equal. Crazy enough the Hattie B’s here is better than the couple I’ve tried in Nashville. As another poster said, Hattie B’s has more spice levels, but the meat itself is better at Gus’s imo.

@Plove23 hope you enjoyed your time in Knoxville this weekend brother. Cam is something special.

That's because, in Nashville, one should really go to the authentic hot chicken places and hit up Prince's or Bolton's.

Surprisingly I didn’t care for Prince’s all that much. I know there are plenty of people who love it though. I haven’t tried Bolton’s so may give it a crack next time I’m in Nashville.
