Top of the morning. Alright you engineering types, any idea about what this project is intended to accomplish?

It looks like a bunch of valve cover risers for a water line. The corrugated metal looks old and deteriorated. I would imagine at the least they are replacing the metal with plastic risers.

It doesn’t look like a full line replacement at least from what I can see in this picture.

I hope this doesn't upset you religious guys but seeing these posts about Kirk's dog Ben, it brings to mind a question I've wondered about.
Why did our maker decide to make the life expectancy of dogs so short?
A classic Judeo-Christian response would be that He didn't make their lives short. Adam did. But His plan was always to offer that eternal life once again through Christ's finished work to whosoever would accept that free gift.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned

Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

The though here was that there was no death before the fall, but the fall affected all of creation (and all within it) to entropy and death. But the plan is that one day an entirely new creation, unaffected by sin and death, will be created. In effect, the Garden of Eden was basically His plan. Humanity short-circuited that, but God always had a full-proof plan to one day get us back to that garden-state again.

It's like asking why do children get cancer? And it has nothing to do with free will...evil...the usual arguments as to why awful things happen to good people in this world.

Plenty of the authors of the constitution were right to be deists. It seems to be the only logical conclusion. I've adjusted religious beliefs accordingly, still with belief, just different.

Also why I tend to side toward having cats. Last one lived till 14, my oldest currently is 14 and very healthy. I love dogs, but I can't take the grief every 8-12 years. I've had enough dealing with my mother's dog's passing last year, which I lived with for some time as a pup and he grew very close with my cat. It's just too much, too often 😑

And yet I'd still like to get an Akita or Shiba Inu sometime down the road. I'll go through it one more time.

Well some dogs live a lot longer, but man decided to breed for variables we prefer and thus you have Uga that doesn’t live 5 years. Worse he spends those 5 years essentially suffocating for a cool look. Whether you believe God gave man dominion over the land and animals or just believe we took it - we've done some weird things bending it to our will. I don't know why God made dogs live short lives and whales live longer than us, but i love the time I've had with my dogs.

Maybe God didn’t originally create them to be such a great companion for man, but we have domesticated them to be this way? Don’t know the answer…just speculating.

But god would’ve known we were going to do that. Right?
That’s our choice, not His. Just like we choose to sin. He doesn’t force us. I don’t know the answer about the life span of dogs. I’m just speculating. I love them too and wish they could live longer.

No god has a plan for us and knows what we’re going to do before we do.

They don’t hashtag “godsplan 🙏” for nothing.
