Agree. I think you sell out to stop the run in the second half. From what I've seen in the first half, I'll take my chances with Hurts throwing the ball. If he makes plays through the air, you tip your cap.
He doesn't have the ability to look at the defense and scheme against it. Every defense has a weakness, even Alabama. He can't find that weakness and exploit it.
We found it the 1st series...split backs and run it right at them. They have to ply it honest because they don't know who is getting the ball. We stopped doing it.
I wouldn't say great. There have been a couple of these runs outside where he just crashes into the middle and takes himself out of the play. But he's definitely flashed a few times.
IMO experience will fix his issues. I think he could emerge as a very solid contributor as the year goes on, and especially next season.
