Exactly. On first, Hurd is getting like 4-6 per carry. When we inevitably throw an incompletion on first, everyone knows Hurd is getting it on second which let's the defense stack the box and cut off his lanes.

Our intermediate passing game is obviously as bad as our deep passing game.


So why not go deep instead of intermediate when we throw if the outcome is basically the same?
