If Pruitt gets another year you have to fire Chaney he’s pathetic and I hated the hire from the start. Fire him, Friend and Weinke.

I was wrong about him he needs to fired. Analytics have him as the third worst OC in the conference (per @CFBMatrix). Fun fact chip long (on staff) would be top 3

I don’t understand how you run 7 straight run plays and then give your QB on 4th and 4 a pass play. Granted. That was pass interference and we should of scored on that drive. (It would of been completed otherwise)

But once you are dealt the cards of it being 4th and 4 down two scores why not kick the field goal I just don’t get it.

I should not have said that and redact it. It was unfair indeed. I was just frustrated he kept throwing the same checkdowns when there is clearly no time for that. Coaches should have made him fully aware of such. My bad

Pruitt literally talked to him on the sideline. However, you say there is no time for a checkdown. What if Gray breaks it for a TD? What else is HB supposed to do with the game in the balance force one downfield to a covered receiver and throw an interception when he has a RB almost 10yds down field who can do good things in space?

How about the refs screwing us on obvious pass interference on Baileys first throw of the game that would of put us within 15yds and with a 1st down with over 5 mins left in the game?

Or what about the coaching staff not kicking a field goal instead, making a True Freshman QB who you have been afraid to let throw for 7 plays throw on 4th and 4?

We fire Pruitt and a week later he is coordinating Bama’s defense again, but we are signing the paychecks.

I've come to the conclusion Pruitt is way over rated as a defensive coordinator. He's coached teams that always had the best players available. He's not had to scheme much. Hell, everyone knows that the slant pass is our achilles heel. He has a bye week to work on things. We still can't cover a slant. He's as much of a head coach as Guarantano is a QB.

Maurer last year, HB this year has a complicated offense, seemingly poor QB coaching, and limited run help, etc.

Also, Bailey handled floating the pocket during pressure perfectly, like a QB should. All of our other QBs just roll out immediately and get smashed or throw some type of god awful throw.

I lied I have one other thing to say since that was such a bad coach performance. While I still believe we might as well give Pruitt more time because there no chance of us getting out of this grave with another coaching change but maybe I forget how bad Lyle was but I can’t think of a worse coaching performance than what we just witnessed.

He's lost, he's I'll prepared to be a head coach. He's a dead man walking. This recruiting class will tank. We'll likely win one more game at most. Fulmer better be talking to experienced coaches over the next few days and pull the trigger or we'll be eating leftovers again after next season with another underwhelming hire.

I don't expect us to fire Pruitt though, we'll wait until it's too late and get some other coordinator that isn't ready.

I'm with @I4Jay. Bailey didn't look like the moment was too big for him. He played smart, looked plenty mobile for a pocket passer, made a nice pass down the field when it was there. And that was all with being in a situation where the defense knew we had to pass.

There is no doubt that Bailey is our best option and should play the rest of the season.

I agree but it’ll never happen, just as soon as JG gets cleared they’ll trot him out there. Dumbest coaching staff ever

It was the right decision, but watching Bailey hit the check down five times in a row when we are down two scores had me belly laughing. Coaching malpractice to not have gotten him in the game and given him some opportunities before that 4th and short pass.

Before the season started this look like a win and nobody was really circling it on the calendar for any reason.

This game has become extremely important for not only the season but the long term future.

Im not big on tagging a game as "must win". But maybe I should start.

UT needs a win and a good performance in a bad way Saturday.

We got neither a good performance nor a win.

2 weeks to clean things up and prepare and offensively we look like the plan is to try and not lose the game. I dont dislike JG, he seems to be a fine person but we re well past time to move on. BUT, if you re gonna send him out there you have to trust him enough to plan and call a game that gives you a chance to win. Our defense at best is good in spurts. This team isnt beating anybody 13 - 10.

Past the offense. The defense had a solid first half then was gashed in the second half.

There's a lot of problems. I dont see any answers
