'21 Recruiting Forum: Official Bama Pregame/Game Thread

Year 3. Year 1 and 2 under Wilcox they were actually decent. But I would expect you to remember that because that would mean you were admitting youre wrong.

Lol. Get your facts straight. Dooleya defenses went 9th, 9th and 14th in the SEC his theee years. In case you forgot, none of those years are decent.

I love how hard this team plays.

Basically...I have zero issues with the intangibles I've seen from this team and staff so far.

But... Jeez... It's be nice to see that effort rewarded with a win that matters.

This program has been here, several times actually, over the last 12-15 years.. And almost every time we've come up short.

At some point... We need to win a game we're really not supposed to. We need to be the team that makes the plays. Not the one makes the game changing mistakes.

Siap... Didn't expect to win. So no sin in losing this game.

But I didn't expect it to be a game going in to the 4th either. Is that a moral victory? Yeah. It is.

At some point that can't be good enough.
Seriously Jake...why don't you just skip the next few years? I wanted to see a team that competed no matter what...and we have one. That is enough for me RIGHT NOW...

Yep. We got man handled yet again. We played tough for 3 quarters blah, blah, blah. Same old crap different year. Injuries, depth, refs oh wait until next year. That’s all it ever is.
We got manhandled in the fourth. Not through the first 3. The team played tough with no quit in them, and so did the coaches. Look, I’m not into moral victories, but I keep seeing a team that believes in itself. When was the last time you saw that? And against Alabama no less. Take your blah, blah, blah somewhere else. As I said in another thread, you and all the realist fans would be out in full force after the game to thump your chests and declare “you’re right”. That’s all y’all really care about.

Wrong. We care about this program and this team.

At the end of the day it was a 4 TD loss. No?

100% agreement on everything you said.

We are the kings of almost and woulda coulda shoulda

Yep. We've taken every angle to prop up every coach we've had the last 3 years. At the end of the day, Heupel has to be able to produce some wins against teams that aren't awful. I'm hopeful he can do that. But we've seen this song and dance for 12 years.

Heupel has to recruit top 15 classes at a minimum. He has to improve in-game coaching.

People stay in the recruiting forum because we are hopeful- hopeful that we will get good players to compete again at some point. The all negative-all the-time posters need to stay or move to the football forum.
After 20 years of futility and frankly embarrassment at times, I am enjoying watching this team and these coaches. I am already sad there is no game next weekend.
Try to enjoy the rest of your weekend and GO VOLS!!

Wright 5*
Carvin 4*
Cooper 4*
Spraggins 3*
Mays 5*
Seems like 4 out of JH's 5 are NFL lineman

No they aren’t. Also, did Dooley take over a team that lost almost 30 players to the portal? Or did he take over a team that was under a major (not minor like Kiffin) NCAA investigation? Did Dooley take over when the entire coaching staff, AD and recruiting department was changed? No.

Oh and in case you forgot, Dooley needed double OT to beat UAB in 2010. UAB.
