On Offense
First Possession - Punt
2nd - one first down, then Punt
3rd - FG
4th - TD
5th - Punt
6th FG

Going into halftime it turns into another ugly game, it's Vols 13 BYU 14
Come out in the 2nd and get a FG
16-14 Vols
We stop them on the first drive.
We punt back to them and they score.
16-21 BYU
Same boring game, but the Vols show out in the 4th this time and win 30-21. #ICanSeeTheFuture

A punt on the first drive would be incredible, i'm fully expecting a turnover again. I'm terrible at picking games, so hopefully that trend continues, but i'll be taking BYU moneyline and expecting the score to make it look closer than it was ala GSU. 45-34 BYU.

somebodie's got to be pissed off over there by now, right?
Last Saturday was a game you re supposed to win and win handily. When you lose a game like that and then have another game you should win the next week (even tho it should be more competitive) it creates 1 of 2 situations.

1. You completely fall apart, mail it in and get embarrassed again.
or
2. You circle the wagons, tight your grip and play with urgency.

For better or worse, Pruitt is as green to what he is doing as anyone in the program less the FR class. Its obvious he wasn't prepared for the job when Fulmer hired him and still isn't today. The question is no different than with a player in a lot of ways, can he adjust, can he learn from mistakes, can he trust his staff (it has some good pieces). A lot of fans don't like the idea but he's having to learn on the job. Less Doc Brown showing up with his white hair waving everywhere it is what it is right now.

They maybe historically bad but until they show it again, I just don't see that team being what they showed Saturday.

Until the PI call we actually didn’t play too bad Saturday. It’s like the team quit.

That’s said, when the going gets tough, this team quits. I hope he doesn’t play the guys Saturday that so but we’ll see.

Fact is, we struggled to run the ball against GSU. We also struggled to stop the run. And we have a below avg QB who can’t put the team on his shoulders.

Doesn’t set up good for us unfortunately against them. I see it something like 32-17 BYU. Hope I’m wrong.

We run the sh** out of the ball and actually see men fighting on the line with a little nastiness. 2 backs over 100. Each back also with 4 catches.

yeah, and tbh, my pick is really just my way of making myself believe.

if we're gonna win.....beat 'em down.

won't be surprised no matter what happens honestly.

I want to think that we treated Ga St as a glorified scrimmage and got burned. Surely to goodness we’re better than what we showed in week 1. I don’t have much confidence in this pick, but I’m still taking the good guys.

UT - 27
BYU - 13

If I’m wrong and BYU whips us (and if we really are as bad as we looked in week one, they WILL whip us), we may only win 2-3 games all year, and I may finally give up on hoping that things will ever get better.

I hope I am wrong but I really don't see this team "circle the wagons" Saturday. Yes there are a lot of players on this team who really care about Tennessee football; however, there are still a number of players who just care about themselves.

This is Pruitt's second year! No excuse for these players still being on the team. They should have been gone after spring practice last year. I have lost a lot of confidence in Pruitt not just because we lost but the fact most of the players played with half effort and simply quit in the fourth quarter.

Losing to a team like Georgia State is beyond believable but the worst part, for me, is HOW WE LOST! Every bit of the blame rests with Pruitt!! Not going to get fixed until the players dragging the program down are shown the door. My guess is it is far more than the two so far. IF Pruitt cannot do the job then he is the problem. We will see what happens over the next two or three weeks.

BYU 41 Tennessee 20.

I pray that i'm wrong but i have a feeling that BYU is going to rush for 200+ on us and limit our possessions.

No idea who shows up after this past week. At least we know Murphy wont be on the sidelines.
