We need some pieces for it all to come together. Winning at minimum 10 games in this conference is never guaranteed. However if we had the OL of the 90s teams I would say we would be a favorite to win it all by Nico's JR yearWith it being a 12 team playoff, we better be in it the next 2 years with Nico or something went very wrong
Shutout was nice. And wasn’t an accident, but this was not a good defense most of the year. We have to make a drastic jump. Hopefully light came on for Herring. Our OL isn't good enough for us to be a lock for the playoff. Neither is our secondary and LB group. Not with our schedule. We can get there, but I wouldn't say "we better be in."
3 OL were out...but I agree that it is an issue because we will have injuries again next year..it's inevitable, so we have to have a couple of somebody's step up and provide quality depth and do better than they did today in pass pro.Shutout was nice. I think the OL is not very good, they’re pretty good; but Nico is to blame for some sacks and there were some odd plays where I’m not sure the QB and skill guys were on the same page. That will get better. And Heupel is too good of a play caller to let him get destroyed.
Defense was the best in Heupel era. Florida was meh, but the defense was good enough to beat Bama. 3 FG’s in the redzone and gave up a strip sack. Mizzou was bad by the entire team, but we had multiple costly turnovers. If the DL plays just as well with better improvement in the backend, we will score more points to win games we lost this year.Shutout was nice.
