Recruiting Forum: Official Florida Pre-Game/Game Thread

I feel like getting over the UF hump is going to have the team believing in themselves like they haven't before. They may come out and dismantle UGA.

I tend to agree with this. The monkey is off our back. No more woe is me. We could take Georgia to the woodshed this Saturday.

Crawl out of whatever hole you're hiding in and take your beating, coward.

I skipped 36 pages but I was hoping that gator Boi was talking smack all first half. I guess he disappeared in the second half and hasn't shown his scaly tail around here since? Figures. We are traveling but I will post later. My daughter and I went to the Vol Walk and she high fived all the players. Feels great to have a victory!

You better get your butt back here. We are missing all the gifs. You are failing down on the job.

UT 38
UF 21

That's a 17 pt. win. The Vols storm back from 21-17 down in the first half. Hurd, Dobbs and Kamara all have rushing TDs. Byrd and Jennings get into the end-zone as wall. Medley gets one from 39. Lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth when the Vols fall behind. VN erupts torching DeBord. After the game in retrospect though many will not let it go, the cognoscenti see that DeBord has played it brilliantly. Vol D pitches a shut out after the half-time break.

OK. I admit it. I didn't get it exactly right. Sometimes foresight can be hazy. Oh yeah and Shoop owes me for that last garbage time TD. :)

I think it scares the players sometimes just how good the O can be. The team is about to take a step forward. The relentless D. Barnett attitude is about to break through. Hold on ye ole Vol fans.

That quote wasn't directed at you. I know exactly what you meant. It was at the guys for the last two years who have said Malone is a bust. A guy isn't a bust till he leaves the team.

One of my friends Chris White is a perfect example. He sat on the bench for three years as a QB bust, as several put it. He gets moved to safety as a senior and just leads the nation in interceptions.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? It ain't over till it's over.

You tell 'em, Bluto!

Dude, I think you've got it a little backwards, but to each their own :)

How did he get it backwards? Quincy was practically incoherent, but from what I made out of his disjointed analogy, THEY were the trucks and WE were the ducks.

Just thread through about 40 pages of posts from the past 48 hours or so, and man - VN MVP for the game was definitely Vols2DaWall. That dude was calling the comeback before halftime. He was on some Swanson-style optimism. Biggest win to date for Butch - that is, until October 15th in Neyland against that crimson squad.

I think Bassmaster_Vol called it too.

Watched it again and the OLine absolutely got it done in the 2nd half.

Major props to Buchanan and Gaulden for stepping up.

coach Shoop is the real deal. There were at least 5 plays where the DBs or LBs spotted the formation and called out the tendency and were right where they needed to be.
Particularly a 3rd and short. I think it was Mosely. He called over to TK to go underneath him before TE snap, boom, flat/slant combo... TK MAKES THE EASY TACKLE. Forces punt

That 2nd half was something to behold

He said to get his ass in HER. I am not sure how he would do that.

I think it was "ducks pulling trucks is impossible, just like tennessee beating Florida is impossible."

Just like Big Boi showing up in this thread, after his gators got smacked all over Neyland...impossible.

Btw, I completely forgot Cece Jefferson played for Florida, until I saw him after the game when the players were shaking hands. Talk about invisible. Did he even play?
