He didn’t crash down and pursue the RB, he stopped and tried to force contain which is exactly what the backside end is supposed to do there. Problem is he went flat footed and doesn’t have near the speed or agility of Jones.

I'm not sure how anyone could take this away from tonight. We're a missed field goal and a horrendous drop from being in a one score game. There are some things that Heupel could do better obviously, but there have been more promising signs tonight than I ever saw with Pruitt.

I just don't like beating ourselves. And at key points in this game and against Pitt, we've done that. And you do that enough, that is who you are.

So... The coaches can't fix the talent level, agreed. But we can be a whole lot more disciplined. That's within their control.
