You're not saying that Mark Richt has lost control of.....his team, are you?

I think we win because blue-tick hounds are waaaaay cooler than bulldogs.

Because Smoky>>>>>>>>>>>Ugah

Vols 31
Dawgs 24

(and we come from behind this time)

Smokey has been already been at work!

Lol, what makes you think we only score 13 points?

Offensively, we only put up 13 against Arky. Who has a much worse defense than UGA. Unlike Arky, UGA has a good DL. Mixed with run stuffers and pass rushers.

Then you have guys like Lorenzo Carter, Jordan Jenkins, Leonard Floyd, and Jake Ganus in that front 7.

Pruitt will have these guys coached up and ready to go.

So that's why I think that.

It's like I'm a parent of a heroin addict or something.

This time it's gonna work! They've got it turned around!

But probably just gonna result in more embarrassment and disappointment. But oh well. I love my vols!

I gotcha, so if we score points on defense or st's, they don't count in your scoring scenario. I'm with you now.

My mind is telling me 38-17 Georgia.

BUT MY BODY....is telling me YES!

I want to think we'll win this one and flip the script...

The ghosts of (very) recent Saturdays past will really start to weigh down the team in this one.

We have a couple of big time plays in the first half (per usual) and then Chubb and Michel take over in the second half. We always play georgia well but there's still no way we're gonna win this one vs an angry georgia team coming off an embarrassing first loss.

Georgia wins, 38-31.

Either way though, I'll be in the stadium saying how cool the gray jerseys look and how we have a chance to win come gametime. GBO.

The key to winning may be to score more points in the 2nd half that the 1st. That would mean adjustments must be made during halftime...which seems to be a problem so far.

Here are the 1st and 2nd half scoring stats, per game:

BG 35-24
OU 17-0
WC 41-14
UF 17-10 (last minute TD anomaly)
UARK 17-3

I think the above qualifies as a trend...and I discount the BG and WC games due to quality of competition.

Most people ignore Malcolm Mitchell. They shouldn't. Our D coaches will not isolate Cam on Malcolm. That's a major problem. We have an issue with inexperience at Mike if Kirkland plays and severe incompetence if Jumper plays that will keep Chubb/Michel running for days because Randolph provides run support about once of every 10 run plays. Our D is not on the same planet as Bama's and was not as good as Arky's at home, which had lost to Toledo at home. Bama pressured a good UGA O-line and pushed the pocket back into the QB, who lacks mobility, but who is very accurate when safely in a pocket. Don't see that happening with our D-line.

Expect a couple of tweaks from Butch on O, but nothing radical. UGA has enough on D to handle anything thrown at them enough to win. UGA's D wore down from being on the field too much and UA hammering them with Henry. UT does not have that type offense, ability or mindset.

Other SEC HC's know to never sit on a lead. Go for the throat early and often throughout the game until it is put away. That's not on Butch's chart or in his process.

Arky was only 7-3, right? I thought it was tied at 17 going into the half.

Good points, though. I wonder if it's possible to have two (or more) game plans heading into a game, and then adjusting at the half in reaction to what the other team is doing.

Whatever we do, we need to bypass the score of 17.

Seriously, I'm tired of being negative. Beat Georgia and we are back on track.

Exactly. Go for 2 if we have 16 on the board.

Make that your new cute tradition.

There's only one Tennessee so we'll go for 2 on 16.

I agree with everything you say except I think we will get pressure on Lambert. That is all.

No, or inadequate, halftime adjustments. See Butch Jones for explanation.
