Nobody hoped Dobbs would miss passes.

I must admit while I have scoffed at any suggestion at replacing Dobbs it entered my mind in the 2nd QT. I didn't post it though

Strange part is Dobbs put up video game type numbers and played right at a quarter of some of the worse accuracy passes in the sec in a long time. Crazy to think how good kid numbers could have been

Hopefully something clicked mentally with Dobbs and the best is yet to come. We all see the potential. Really happy for him today. Too bad he didn't get that RS dang it.

What is Justin Martin's injury issue? Is he 100%? I've seen him Flying down on Kick coverage teams. Does he have problems cutting?

Not talking about you but look through the thread. When some are saying put Dormady in and the WRs are dropping his passes what are they asking for? Or only chime in when Dobbs misses a WR. Hey call it fair for him is what I want

It's one thing for people calling for another QB but for you to say they were hoping Dobbs would miss on more passes so it can happen is an assumption on your part. I never call for QB change but I was frustrated with his play only to see if the coaches would just let him play wide open Dobbs is an entirely different QB and an effective one.

Not one single"like" for my OP, but I would say those keys were pretty spot on. Y'all were stingy grumps last week :eek:lol:

I amended my score prediction later for a 3 point Vol victory :)

Yep. Spot on.

Dobbs puts so much pressure on a defense with his legs the passing game will be there. WRs just have to make plays. His entire WR group except for Pearson and Smith were first or second year guys.

Still wondering what is on the recruits mind that were there? Couldn't ask for a better game for them to be in attendance. Just seems to quite. Anybody hear anything?

People saying oh he just can't throw forgot that versus SCAR he made throws all over the field. He'll throw all over Bama too if we don't handcuff him. Let the man make plays Butch. He'll save your job. :)

I don't see how we can have any other game plan on offense from here on out. You have to let Dobbs do what he does best and create. He has to be part of the running game plan to be fully effective. I think it gets him into the flow of the game.

First time that I have gotten to watch the Vols mostly live in many many years.

Wife and kids in Houston visiting inlaws.

Started watching about 45 minutes after kickoff so that I could avoid the commercials.

Have found a new winning tradition. Ate KFC for lunch (that's out, Vols down 24-3)
Let my cat into the media room cause he was relentlessly banging on the door. Tucker is about 9 lbs. of pure love of life. He is Orange and White :) and I realized that he is a small but relentless VFL. Definitely a Posivol, kinda anti-Catbone :hi: Yes, I am weird but Vol through and through:salute:

I am farly certain that my heart stopped on that last uga pass...Brian Randolph saved my life :)

Lol :) I gotta orange and white cat too! His name is smokey

The ghosts of (very) recent Saturdays past will really start to weigh down the team in this one.

UGA 34
UT 16

UGA 45
UT 24

Most people ignore Malcolm Mitchell. They shouldn't. Our D coaches will not isolate Cam on Malcolm. That's a major problem. We have an issue with inexperience at Mike if Kirkland plays and severe incompetence if Jumper plays that will keep Chubb/Michel running for days because Randolph provides run support about once of every 10 run plays. Our D is not on the same planet as Bama's and was not as good as Arky's at home, which had lost to Toledo at home. Bama pressured a good UGA O-line and pushed the pocket back into the QB, who lacks mobility, but who is very accurate when safely in a pocket. Don't see that happening with our D-line.

Expect a couple of tweaks from Butch on O, but nothing radical. UGA has enough on D to handle anything thrown at them enough to win. UGA's D wore down from being on the field too much and UA hammering them with Henry. UT does not have that type offense, ability or mindset.

Other SEC HC's know to never sit on a lead. Go for the throat early and often throughout the game until it is put away. That's not on Butch's chart or in his process.

42-24 bad dawgs

Georgia 41
Tennessee 10

And the worst bye week will be here.

I wish our bye week was this Saturday so we could regroup.

Georgia - 41
Tennessee - 20

The downward spiral continues.
