i guess the real question is do you think TN is better equipped to deal with UGa than Auburn?
i would have to say the biggest difference between Auburn and TN is the offensive lines. they hassled Bo Nix all game long...if they're able to do that against us, well....i'd expect a simlar result. if not, should be a tighter game.
speed wise they were able to match up wiht their skil guys pretty well, and they never got a consistent run game going.
i think we're gonna have to be patient offensively, and very deliberate with the run game. i like the move they've made with putting the two other OL out there as TE's to help with the blocking....i think we'll see more of that. i also wouldn't be surprised if one of those two got involved in the pass game.
last week we pulled tackles to dominate on one side or the other in the run game. i look for us to really focust on blocking them up.....one thing i haven't seen a lot of from us is the screen game. not that we need to run it a ton, but there will probalby be a couple opportunities early where we'll be able to gash them, if executed and in the right situation.
i don't know that i'd make it a habit of going sideline to sideline with our WR screens, sweeps or jet sweeps. they can pursue and cover ground quickly. you go right at 'em....
i'm also curious to see what we do in short yardage situations. we've shown the QB sneak as a favorite so far, so i'm wondering what else we got up our sleeve.....
i do know this....when we get in to 2nd and 1, 3rd and 1...we just need to go ahead and convert those...lol.
how best do we use their strength against them to stay on schedule and out of bad down and distance situations? that's got to be job 1.
defensively, don't look any gift horse in the mouth. any opportunity to turn it over, you gotta go get it, not like a couple years ago where they dropped the ball 2 or 3 times early and recovered every one of them.....
hm. i'm still not ready to change my prediction. but i'm looking for reasons..................................
