Last 3 games have been by 26+. It's time the gap closes. Maybe we catch em on an off chance, 15-20% of the time.

Secondary and JG make mistakes in this one. We keep it within range for 3.5 quarters and look respectable. They put it away on defense 2nd half.

Lose, but cover the spread. 28-16 doggos

Yep, I expect UGA to cover easily, unfortunately, under a similar scenario. Their DEF is just too good, and we're still dealing with the JG albatross.

It can help if we are competitive, especially recruiting guys like Mims.
Winning helps more than anything than just hope to be champions of life. People need to get back to thinking the way we used to think in the 90’s and early 2000 instead of just hoping to be competitive.

A competitive game with Georgia would be a plus compared to the avg. 32 point losses we have experienced in the last 3 years. I would take it. We simply may not be there yet from a personnel standpoint.

It was easy to think a certain way in the late 90s and early 2000s when we had seen victories like this on the reg. When you haven’t done it in 15 years it seems a little more daunting.

I understand but I rather go into a game with the mindset of winning versus than just to show up and hope not to get beat to bad. The coaches are changing the mindset of our team and us as fans need to follow along with that mindset also. I completely understand what your saying about our teams from the 90’s and 2000’s and are we on that level yet again who knows, but are we on our way I absolutely think so and I also think Pruitt and company is the staff to do that.

My expectations of this team is to show up Saturday and expect to win. This mindset is contagious and rubs off on our team and they start believing in themselves. We have the talent now that we haven’t had in 15 years especially across the line on both sides of the ball. I haven’t seen anything out of UGA that says they have better talent this year than we do with the way they survived and played both games. I think Auburn was overrated and after watching them play I think we are better than they are and I don’t think it’s really that close. Arkansas is the Vandy or Kentucky of the west. They will normally be one of the bottom 2 teams in the west and every now an again they will win a game they not supposed to. But end of they they are still Arkansas just as Vandy and Kentucky are still Vandy and a Kentucky o matter what year it is.

Not ready to pick as well still waiting on injury slash covid report. The one part of the roster we are still playing catch up is the explosive Defensive players they have that quickly can change games. " In CHRIST Alone"

SIAP, but this guy definitely does not like dawg fans.

Their frat bros are the frat-est of all frat bros. They mercilessly taunted a 10 year old me that had a stomach bug. They surrounded our vehicle, driven by my grandfather, after one game and tried to flip it simply because it had TN tags. Elder & child abuse. Classless clowns.

And, of course, they emulate their inbred mascot (that literally cannot breathe in the godforsaken Georgia heat without an air conditioned house) by barking endlessly at anything and everyone.

Tennessee fan explains in hilarious detail why he hates Georgia

Edit: And speaking of barking endlessly, did anyone else watch the 4th quarter of the MsU-Ark game and hear that actuaal fricking dog barking non-stop in the background of the tv call? Annoying as frick.

Don't know if anyone has reported this yet, but one of my buddies that works with some of the football team is telling me Jerome Carvin has a case of turf toe and is doubtful for Georgia, as of now. He's going to get it evaluated this morning to see if he can practice on it this week.

well, that's why we built the O line we built. that iis one thing that will give us a chance. we are really good up front on offense. they are really good in the front 7.

we have a more experienced QB...take that for whatever you want, i'm just saying it's true.

someone said it in another post about our WR's being able to get open against their DB's and finding space in fron of safeies, or getting behind them....if we can prove we can beat them man to man outside, or at least win enough of those battles outside, we'll give ourselves a chance wiht the run game.

i think the area we might find ourselves in a defecit is whehter or not our defensive front can win their match ups, and get them off the field. if i was going to pick on our performance on Saturday it would be that our defense was not able to consistently stop Mizzou once they made the QB change. we were pretty good against the run. but gave up some sizeable chunk plays down field.

GA's skill guys are alot better than MO's.....i'm curious to see how they decide to scheme this one up to be honest on defense....

if there is as much rain as they say could happen, that could even the field out quite a bit from a speed standpoint....then it could be about depth going later in the game.

i think there's a path for us to win this game....but i think some pretty specific things likely need to happen....some of which simply involves UGA having a game kinda like they did last year against USCe....and we have a game like we had this past week....hit big plays that are available, run the ball, and limit scoring to FG's.....and win the turnover battle.....that's a must....and play CLEAN football....little to no mistakes....

He needs to let that heal up. Turf toe sucks

We will likely need a +2 in TOs to win this game, and JG will have to play mistake-free on his decision-making (which he has pretty much done in the first 2 games w/ few exceptions). I got excited when I saw the first half of the UGA-Ark game, but once UGA brought Bennett in that offense looked much different. The UT D will have to do a much better job of forcing him to make mistakes than Arkansas or Auburn were able to do for UT to have a chance. And the best way to force a QB to make mistakes is put him in 3rd and longs, so the D has to win 1st and 2nd downs, which is a tall order with UGA's RBs. And we need to win STs. I think UT can force an upset, but we have flip the field a few times with STs and TOs to have a realistic chance.

Arkansas and Barry Odom has already given us the blueprint to mess up this Georgia offense, if we can use what Arkansas did successfully on d in our game plan, while also taking care of the football on offense (no turnovers) then we can win this game. It’s going to take a collective effort though, cimaglia needs better blocking from his special team unit, and our place kicker can’t pooch any kickoffs out of bounds.

Defensively, we’ve gotta hold the run game in check. UgA is gonna try to pound it down our d lines throat. They have to play their best game for us to be successful. If shamburger and Thompson start in the backend on defense for us then I’m not gonna worry about our secondary. If we continue to give up big plays when their starting then I’ll start to worry about the secondary.

I do think UGA put a lot in to the Auburn game... And I think they probably feel really good about themselves.

I just think they have more big play potential.

And while I like our back 4... This game will be about our front 7. They don't suck. But I'm not sure we can stop them consistently.

We need to be at least +2 on turnovers. And play a really really clean game offensively.

We'll be a trendy pick this week and that'll be annoying...
Look at all those capitalized letters!

If the Vols win I think it will be a score 20-17 ( (UT controls clock and possessions); if the Vols lose then I think it will be more akin to 31-14, (Stetson lights our D up)
