not making adjustments after half I guess is just a UT thing like our DB's refusing to turn their head and track the ball... doesn't matter what player or what coach/staff, still the same outcome...

Spot on . Why is he not a 1st round pick and Levis is?
Not knocking him, love what he does in this offense, and the success he’s had!!
But against 80% of the opponents (that have = or less talent ) this Offense gives him adequate time to pick among 2-3 open receivers. He’s exceptional in games like that.
But against a much more talented UGA there is pressure every play and even when a receiver is open, it’s a very tight window.
He is average in situations like this.
I think it showed tonight, probably went to the wrong reciever a few times tonight, overthrew the 3 times we were open deep and held it several times when he should of threw it out of bounds.
Basically UGA is his cryptonite.

Lot to be happy about this season. Lots to be disappointed about this game. Observations/opinions.

1. As I've said before, this defensive coordinator is the Achilles heel of this team. His tools/players are not the best, I'll admit. But, he's completely out of his league. Most here would consider Heupel an offensive guru. The GA DC sent blitzes all night from different places. Had our offense confused. We had nothing for them. If we're going to take another step, we need to get a DC that's as innovative on defense as Heupel on offense.

2. Heupel didn't have his best stuff tonight. Nothing really imaginative. Where was Fant? Is there photographic evidence he made the trip?

3. We went with speed here or there but never really got going. Some of it was slowed by self inflicted wounds.

4. We have to remember that Kirby brought the player payroll from Bama and has been buying recruiting classes for several years. That advantage is going away. $1mil could buy you a number 1 class under the table. Now with NIL, some players will get a mil. ( That's why Saban is so ticked.) We'll be able to out spend GA. (Donate to your local Spyre). It's going take at least two years (with scoring in the portal) to get on the big boys level.

5. We're out of the playoffs. Losing wouldn't have been a death kneel but getting totally demolished in every phase of game will knock us out, IMO.

6. Hooker's Heisman hopes went bye bye tonight. With Tennessee, Heisman candidates the margins are super thin.

7. Hopefully, and I fully expect they won't, they'll not let GA beat them twice. Need to get back on track and celebrate these seniors next week. I hate they're spending the last two weeks on the road.

8. As I posted during the game, 11-1 with a sugar bowl will be outstanding and beyond our wildest dreams before the season.

The defense held UGA 14 points under their season average. Defense wasn’t the issue today. No one would’ve thought 27 would beat us.

I havent seen any negative non sense. people are just lamenting on the plays that were there to be made and some mistakes that we hadnt made all year

What was the meaning? Maybe I didn’t follow the reference. Thought you were saying that more screens should’ve been called in our game since you posted in the game thread.

absolutely should have been used. when they self scout theyll see it.
its baffling considering how many swings and screens UCF RBs caught under them. its in their repertoire, ive seen them Bury defenses with it

Why? 50% been acting insanely positive and lost all perspective before this, predicting we were going to beat UGA by 3-4 touchdowns on their home field!!!
I mean anyone sane would of known best case scenario was we pull off a close win

Difficult to keep perspective when out of nowhere in Y2 your team is #1 in CFP rankings with multiple ranked wins while overcoming huge program hurdles in Bama and FL and the offense is leading the entire country in ppg. It’s so perfect how can one not want to get caught up in it!

On another note, this season is awesome and this team is awesome. Can’t wait to see how they respond
