'22 Recruiting Forum: Official Georgia Pregame/Game Thread

Kirby said Monday that he hope Jalen Carter can be “at full speed” this Saturday against the Vols.

“(Carter) played better than I expected. He was in on run; he was in on pass,” Kirby said. “He held the point. It’s really about stamina and him being able to hold up and condition.”

Kirby added that Georiga’s offensive line is dealing injuries. Georgia OL Amarious Mims is said to have “a sight MCL” injury. Kirby said he is hopeful the massive lineman will be able to play against the Vols - pointing out that what happens in practice this week for Mims will likely determine that.

Warren’s (McClendon) shoulder was messing with him,” Kirby said after the win over Florida. “(Xavier) Truss had a toe. He still played he played on field goal and PAT. I don’t know how severe that is.”

Kirby added that the Bulldogs still don’t know if WR AD Mitchell will play this Saturday.

“We got AD some more recovery time this week,” Kirby said. “We haven’t practiced yet so it’s hard to tell.”

Mitchell did not dress for warmups in Jacksonville. RB Kendall Milton was dressed for the game, but did not play according to UGA participation reports.

For us to win it will be about clean execution.

Will we have self inflicted wounds stalling drives?

Can we play with speed on the road like at LSU and execute?

If we play clean, not perfect, we will win.

They will be balanced. So will we.

Kirby’s team will have doubt creep in.

Vols pull away in 4th.

What Georgia should do is go tempo and try to extend this game as much as possible. Play the percentages and just crush us with depth and fresh legs in the 4th.

I don’t know Kirby has it in him though. I’m also not sure they can trust Bennett that much.

Anyway… The insecurity among grown men that bark at children is at an all time high this week. I’ve never seen a team that is a 11 point favorite, ranked #1, and picked to win by every media outlet I’ve seen so far pull the “we are being disrespected” card before.

Any guesses on how long before they have a “don’t storm the field this weekend, it’s embarrassing” post on their forum?

The Birmingham office needs to quit protecting GA and AL from playing each other. That's a major bit of rigging in itself; and that's my takeaway from reading those blustering GA messages. They say they will be better next year because the Vols "have to play AL and FL ...on the road next year." GA and AL have only played twice in regular season since 2009. Also, GA needs to play FL on the road like everybody else; no "special" treatment. FL needs to sack up and demand it.

GA's argument frankly boils down to: Georgia will be better next year because Georgia has the easier schedule again next (every) year. They must be scared.

That AP voter Berardino or whatever will use UGAs injuries as his reasoning for not voting us #1 next week if we win.

If anyone in the NCAA can knock off the #1 team it’s our VOLS. Is Georgia any better than Bama, nope imo, maybe not as good. I’ve watched Hooker this year and it’s like he plays according to his opponent. I look for him to turn it up this weekend just like he did against Florida and Bama. We win this one 52-45

KY fans are delusional, but puppy fans take it to another level

We have no talent on offense guys. Hyatt, Hooker, and Tillman are just mid.
qb we are better
rb we are better
wr we are better
te they are better
ol closer than some think at least on here

we will score as they should. mistakes and a play here or there will be the difference.

I like our chances.

I don’t know, UGA has some dudes at RB. Everything else I agree with. That said I don’t think their offense can keep pace with us, Bennet is no Young and that is the only reason Bama could hang. We get on top of them early and I like our chances.

they do not have a back right now I would worry about and they have not played anyone to show me different with their backs

I get the feeling that this is a terrible matchup for us. While the defense did play really good against UK, UGA is close to our offense as far as scoring and yards. In total offense we are #1 and they are #2. Scoring offense we are #1 and they are #6. Passing offense we are #2 and they are #8. Rushing offense we are #25 they are #23. Red zone offense we are #6 and they are #1. So offensively they are right with us. Defensively? It’s not even worth mentioning that they are worlds better in every category.

I just don’t trust our defense can have a repeat performance like they did against UK. UGA has a better OL and much, much, much better WRs and especially TEs. I think UGA wins this one sadly.
Now go back and adjust all those damn stats to reflect facing 5 ranked opponents vs 1...

Do your homework or don't do it at all.

We get up 28-7/28-10 on UGA and they ain't coming back like bama.
