'24 Recruiting Forum: Official Georgia Pregame/Game Thread

I know this. It was an example. It’s been happening all year aim every conference but yesterday the sec officials magically decided to not let us sub after a late substitution by UGA
They let us sub, but they all of a sudden decided 3 seconds was the longest allowed. Earlier in the year one team had a 17 second sub walk off at a snails pace and they allowed it.

I agree that shouldn't be allowed, but you can't just have one crew decide to start enforcing 3 seconds on their own when it's never been part of the rule before.

Its corruption. All about money. Trying to get as many sec teams in the playoff as possible

I think the problem was more Moi was walking off after his sub had already came in. The ref moved a few seconds after the sub had lined up

Again, teams have done that all year and last year. They've always waited for the guy to walk off or crawl off or do whatever he wanted to get off the field.

Honestly I don't think the Center judge knew Moi wasn't off yet. He had his back to him, and like you said, his sub had already lined up. But they couldn't act like he was ignorant and didn't do his job, so they said "we did it on purpose 3 seconds is plenty of time."

Oh no I agree there needs be consistency in the ruling. But once the center judge moves there’s really no arguing it was a bad call

Similar thing happened to Bama against us after a KO. Center judge moved before Bama got all their guys off

Both of you show video of this…if you are going to make an argument prove this
He stares down Bru , every game.
Usually on 3rd and really need a first down here situation.
Don’t know if he just trusts him more or the coaches drilling into his head to look for Bru.
If you haven’t noticed it then you’re not paying attention.

“He stares down Bru” you recognize saying this doesn’t help your argument? Especially if you don’t know the play call, defense coverage etc on why he is looking that direction. So many variables go into a playcall simply saying he is staring down a receiver is pretty low grade QB chair stuff.

He wasn’t the reason we lost if you understand LOS play and how important it is to having an effective offense it always starts there, after that players have to execute

Dude I watched several games where, when the ball is snapped he locks on Bru like he’s the only player on the field.

I don’t care what the play call is or anything else.

Anyone over 6 knows you can’t get away with that.
DB’ gonna pick up on that every time.

It’s a stupid argument to try and defend.

I’m afraid I’m arguing with someone who doesn’t know what staring down a receiver even means!!!
I’m sorry I thought you were a grown man that had some football knowledge.

You’re obviously a adolescent ( child) who has a fanboy crush on Nico and can’t believe he does anything wrong.

I’ll leave you alone now so you can go back to playing with your toys and watching Disney!

This guy needs your perspective Ashevolle, it will be okay buddy breath in and out
Nico's stats against UGA were better than Hookers in 2022 at Sanford. For a freshman, I have to say it could be a lot worse.

Or fans are no different than any other. Expectations are different now and after a game like that, over reactions rule the day.

We're so much better off today than we were 5 years ago, and the 15 before that. We lost a game tonight that had real sec and national title implications... We're now at that point where we have wanted to be for 15 years. Getting over that hump is the next step and you keep getting yourself to that point with the understanding that's the hardest step.

This loss sucks and it's still plenty fresh enough to be pissed off about it....I know I am.

But big picture... We're good. Beating Bama and Florida with any kind of regulatory is awesome. Going in with 9 wins being the floor... Recruiting is doing very well... All the things that are and have been good about athletics in general are still there and showing no signs of letting up any time soon.

So tonight sucks.

It is not a referendum on the state of the program or anything though...
We have an inexcusable amount of fans that hate Nico and think we would be better off with Gaston lol

We have an equal amount that can’t understand that a fair and honest assessment of his play cannot come to a conclusion of “Great”!

And that a fair and honest assessment doesn’t equal hate.

An equal amount that cannot admit he is a work in progress and has had ups and downs.
