JG is not good, but this game was lost in the trenches. JG didn’t get gashed in the run game or fail to open holes for the RBs.

Agreed. I’d rather lose a dang game because a Freshman was giving his all then to see the BS JG was doing at the end. How do you have all day to throw and still get sacked, throw interceptions, throw the ball out of bounds on 4th down, and so on and so forth! Give me a break.

False. JG didn’t play well, but the OL looked no better than last season against Vandy or Mizzou. And the DL got pushed around as well.

No way you can get excited about the rest of the season. JG isn’t the answer. You can’t blame the defense when he kept them on the field all day and didn’t let them take chances while being up. Your team is who your QB is and JG isn’t it. He beat Auburn and Kentucky with 50/50 balls not with skill. I will not defend him anymore. I’d rather trot out Shrout or Mauer. They give me a legit reason to complain. JG has been here far too long to be that inept.

This. And a lot of the time we didn’t have time to pass it was because of lack of recognition from outside blitzes pre-snap. That last JG fumble, the CB showed he was blitzing and JG made zero adjustments leaving a freshman RB to pick it up.

So let's review--- we are complete garbage. We have so much freakin talent and it is not being put to use and is being wasted. This coaching staff just may be a joke/smokescreen, even more than the previous one. Seriously-- no matter how many freshmen we played, we had above and beyond more talent on both sides of the ball than Ga St, yet they whipped our ass. We looked discombobulated, no emotion, no pride, no urgency...

I think really the biggest surprise to me is how you can have this much raw talent for two years and be out-coached, out-hustled, and out-played, against teams with MUCH less talent on the field. This just screams coaching. Are we ever going to get the right staff?

hopefully we find a way to rebound in some way, but this season is trash moving forward. I know, first game, but you can't raise the level of what was on the field today that much to compete with any SEC team right now.

Mark my words, and I hate saying this, but our recruiting just took a hit we probably won't recover from... There is absolutely no way to sell this to any higher-tier recruit in the country. We will now be for real, 3* U.

I have better things to do than worry about this crap right now. I can't believe we are paying these guys this much to put that on the field. J.O.K.E. I want a refund.

Why wouldn’t he? There was a substantial amount of proof in that game that he can walk in here and start his first game even with a senior incumbent QB

He can start, or compete to start, at programs that actually win games

You know how defenses that aren’t total garbage get breathers and stay off the field all day? By forcing stops against crappy teams like GSU.


JG isn’t a good QB. The fact that we don’t have any QBs who could take the job from him by now is very discouraging. The fact that we didn’t have a staff with the foresight to make keeping a QB like Adrian Martinez committed to us a priority is also discouraging.

Maybe we’ll have a a QB take over this year nor next year who can at least make the offense fun to watch again. But our defense is absolute trash and that is a problem.

Our defensive line was atrocious. I better see Simmons in there next week and number 97 should never see the field again. LB #13 should never see the field again.

JG afraid to throw it down field. Commits a bullet pass to Chandler from 4 yards away causing a fumble. Gets sacked and fumbles. Literally lets a guy sack him instead of throwing the ball away. Throws the ball away on 4th and 3. JG is a problem.
