That is a huge stage for your first start and to have to rally your team from 14 down. He has lots to improve o but until JG fixes whatever attitude issues he had going on I don't want him on the field.

We wanted JG at my house during the first half, as much as BB, but I agree, he needed an attitude adjustment. This is a team sport.

Dormady missed him so much checking the ball down scared.

Callaway looks a lot like Sammy Watkins though. 4 catches for 115 yards and 2 TDs. Best pure WR on the team. IMO

Callaway was legit. That last floater to him he went up like a man knowing full well his back was about to get hammered. Still came down and fought for the first down.

Never a doubt. V,B

Other than looking angry on the sideline, why do you think he had a bad attitude? He just looked pissed off and focused to me.

BB, I'm starting to think u are right about JG, although props to QD, 2nite. But, come on, Calloway balled, but Malone is faster and bigger, although MC has the dog in him like JJ.

Malone doesn't play bigger at all. When have you seen him take over a game literally like that. You never saw him go up over DBs like that. And him being faster is debatable. Callaway easily broke away on that hitch after stiff arming the CB.

I love JG but acting that way on the sideline is not the way to get snaps. JG needs to adjust that attitude because Dormady looked pretty good in the second half. If any of us had to play our first start on that stage we would've crapped ourselves long before we took the first snap. BB included.

My nephew in Crossville was texting me with glee (Illini fan). Dormady was "garbage" "skittish" "nervous" et al. Told him that Dormady had some stinkers but was mostly hitting receivers in their hands and looked poised to me...and my own opinion is the final verdict TO ME. Reminded me of Dobbs game against SC in his second season...every reason to be defeated and he kept it a hunnert! He also took a shot at JG and his attitude on the sideline. My response was that he's competitive, wants in and that's what we want. Then he said that it's a bad look for the national audience...response was the tonnage of a f*** Vol fans care about the national audience. :) That being said, on the tying drive in regulation, JG was practically in the tunnel while the rest of the team was flashing signals and cheering teammates...Herbie noted it and couldn't argue. :pinch:

I would bet money Butch told JG they were going to play him and then the offense started sputtering. After that they still didn't put him in. I can understand why he was mad if he felt like the coaches lied to him.

OL played really good after halftime.

Dormady settled down. Made some questionable throws but did not beat us.

John Kelly is what we thought.

Ty Chandler made some great blocks in pass protection.

Callaway is a big time player. Feed this man

Taylor and Bituli are phenomenal.

Justin Martin should be like us (paying to watch the game)

Gaulden saved our season.

Kyle Phillips lost contain on edge a few times, played decent.

We are 1-0!

That was a scary moment in UT Football history. Lose this game and wheels could come off.
