I'm embarrassed, and I'm hurt, and I'm frustrated. This wasn't Georgia we lost to. There is no way in hell the talent excuse holds water in this game. We are a more talented team than Kentucky, but we got our asses handed to us. It was just plain embarrassing.
Pruitt was outcoached in every way. You may not like hearing it, but it's true. You can try and blame JG, but even that comes back to coaching. Other coaches do more with less, we do less with more. Not screaming for him to be fired, but after that game, he deserves to be criticized.
JG played like crap. No defending him in this game. He shouldn't see the field again, but of course, he will.
Our OL does not play as a unit. They often look weak. Our RBs have a hard time breaking tackles. I'm curious what their YAC is. Doesn't seem like it would be good because more often than not, it appears they fall on first contact.
The defensive line can't get consistent push and the biggest surprise to me is how poorly our secondary plays. With Pruitt and Ansley on staff, I's expect that to be a strength. It's not. They can't even defend the slant. And our LBs, other that Toot, are just too damn raw.
Kentucky came into our house today and took a big blue dump all over it. Furious does not even begin to describe how I feel. There is no excuse for this. There is nothing Pruitt can say to make it better. We HAVE to get better. He HAS to have a come to Jesus moment for himself, and with this team. Today was just unacceptable. Every coach on this staff has to do a better job of getting their units better. Recruiting is great, but meaningless if we don't coach these players.
I really hope today's game doesn't kill our recruiting, because it easily could. Tonight, we are once more the laughing stock of the SEC. Other teams, other fanbases, I guarantee they're enjoying this, laughing at our expense. We have to do better.
