Maybe he knows JG is *NOT the strongest mentally and is simply trying to keep him from losing all confidence.

Even if another QB starts, let’s be honest, we’re gonna need JG at some point to win us a game just like last season.

This is not good. Pointing fingers publicly.
At everyone but the one person who deserves it the most. He defends JG and blames others. That's bull ****. I mean, I hold Chaney and Weinke responsible for no other QB being ready to play, but Pruitt needs to take off the blinders and realize JG is hurting this team.

So sacrifice a whole season just to keep a ****** QB mentally strong?..nah bro you signed for this ****.this is sec football either wear those big boy pants or go down the ****ing road to MTSU or ETSU

I don't remember the defense quitting in the bana game last year. I remember JG fumbling on the goal line but not how the defense played afterwards.

You’re right!..but as far as quitting on JG I think it was after the bama game!..trey was pissed

I didn’t mean keep rolling with JG.

I mean maybe he’s saying what he’s saying publicly to try and keep JG’s confidence. Even when he benched him last year he still complimented him and said he’d be needed to help us win. Which was true.

Maybe he’s just playing the same tune?

Did it with Helton in year 1 and is now doing it to Chaney. Pruitt has to figure out where the real problem is.
I think the real problem is we have 0 QB. I’m not a fan of Chaney as I thought I would be either. His offense is the most uncreative thing ive ever seen and I think Pruitt wants us to be straight up pro style which nobody is anymore.

Nothing towards you, just speaking in general this isn’t Rutgers!..SEC football ain’t no joke and he can’t handle it..he should have never played another down after bama last year.

We have QB’s we just have a head coach who’s willing to give them a ****ing chance or live game reps.you’ll never know what’s on the bench until their number is called!

If he didn’t play another down after Bama last year then we likely don’t win all of the games we did at the end of the season.

If he doesn’t think Shrout or BM (no idea if he’s injured or what) are the answer but HB may be and just isn’t ready, JG will be needed again this season to win us a game. Just seems to be how it always works out. Even if he’s QB2, at some point he’ll likely be needed

Edit: Maybe you’re thinking I’m defending JG? Not the case. At all. Just saying he may be needed again.

If you have a very bad quarterback like JG, you HAVE to be creative on offense. We aren't. We don't try wildcat formations which I think we should. We don't try anything at all. It's all vanilla and predictable. Teams LITERALLY just stack the box and play tight coverage. They have it easy against us. We would have gotten beat again by Georgia State today, and it's all on the coaches.

Has not improved one bit since his first game. It’s actually amazing that’s even possible

I've posted this before and I will say it again. I saw him in camp the first season that he RS'd. He looks the same as he did then. Deer in the headlights, fumbled the snap on a goal line series, threw laterally into the ground or over the WR's head, threw late on everything - but - would throw 40 yards accurately if not rushed. Exactly like now.
