If you saw the second half of UTMartin, I think you’d admit our second teamers won’t shutout anyone.
That wasn’t even second team in the secondary in the second half. We had third stringers starting at CB so second half was fourth team which includes walk-ons. If everyone is healthy and back we should be fine. Our starting secondary hasn’t played great all season but aren’t as bad as the 3rd and 4th stringers. I feel like there’s not much of a drop off from first to second team in the secondary but a big one with the 3rd and 4th guys.

Have you seen our secondary? Them holding anyone to zero points would be more impressive than anything we have done offensively.

Apparently, you haven’t watched Missouri or Vandy this year. Defense going to post shutouts in 2 of last 3 games.

Don’t look at raw stats we face so many more plays than most teams. For defensive scoring efficiency we are in the top 20 and in opposing passing efficiency we rank 68th. For opposing YPC we are (significantly) better than UGa at 2.89. We’re 50th in PPG at 23 but we’ve faced ~40% more plays than for example UGA. If you normalize to points per play you end up with a top 15 scoring defense. We also have the number 2 scoring efficiency offense and the second highest passing efficiency. Our rushing offense has been hit or miss but we did just put up 200+ with >5 YPC from our running backs on the number 3 rushing defense in terms of YPC (Alabama).

I'm not devoting an hour of my life to that but what I did get from what I did listen to is basically they need us to help them win and they have to be something they've not been all year. So what they're hanging their hat on is hope, pure and simple.

Unfortunately, for them, that's not a tactic or strategy you can rely on.

Our front seven should be loving this matchup from a pass rush stand point. And while I'll give them some credit for the production of their defense, they haven't played anyone close to what we can do offensively.

To me this game is back to what I said at the beginning of the season about Pitt and Florida... We play clean and don't help them we win... Probably pretty big.

The only shot they have is if we put up a clunker.

To be honest, gibbs > Rodriguez. The defense did a pretty good job limiting him with a Heisman winning QB to key as well. Not really expecting much for Rodriguez.

This is where the matchup issues come in. Kentucky needs the run, Tennessee stops the run very well.
Agree that Gibbs is better, but slightly. Completely different runners. Rodriguez is tough and you have to hit and wrap up well. I pray Hadden doesn’t have to tackle him 1 on 1
