'24 Recruiting Forum: Official Kentucky Pregame/Game Thread

Left 30 points on the field tonight? ( 3 dropped TD’s and 3 field goals?) was allot more one sided than the score looks
Easily! We had 3 TDs that hit receivers right in the hands and were not difficult catches. That plus the 3 missed FGs. We should have had 50+ put up on them. We have to start making the plays that are there if we want to beat Georgia and even Vandy.

That game was miserable to watch, but it seems like Nico has turned the corner. Best game he’s played yet. Granted, their secondary was depleted, but he easily could have had 400 plus yards last night.

Happy to see the MELTDOWN in this thread has finally disappeared. Good grief.
I can't do it anymore. The slow starts are aggravating, but melting down is getting old. But when you see the talent disparity you know we are likely to get it together as we have in the second half. We are who our record says we are - winners.

My manic posting during games is because this team makes me crazy but I also believe strongly in the reverse jinx. Sorry not sorry.

How we feeling today?

We didn’t get much help yesterday in the pursuit of the playoffs but it feels like Clemson getting their second loss and Texas a&m losing is huge for us.

Wish this board was a thing during the 98 season.

The luck needed that season would’ve had most of us watching from the hospital

People want to win every game by 3 TDs.

I enjoy watching this team keep finding ways to win games. In our recent history, each and every one of those is a loss (excluding Hail Mary at UGA).

It’s good times. We got one of them good ole hard-nosed gritty and determined teams.

two of the field goals were associated with the missed TD passes so

you can't get both on the same possession but I get what you're saying

at least 10 - 24 additional points could've been added

Kitselman catch was definitely difficult lol. And Brazzell’s wasn’t easy. Should’ve been caught tho

They are that, indeed, and in this new version of CFB, you never apologize for winning.

But it's also true we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot, preventing us from being a dominant team that really shouldn't have lost to Arkansas and, really, have to sweat out games against Florida, Bama and Kentucky at home. All 3 of those games are littered with missed opportunities and bad mistakes.....penalties, turnovers, missed throws, missed/dropped catches etc.

Heupel has been saying it all year.. The result of each game, good or bad, has had more to do with us, than our opponent. That's frustrating, but also reason to keep thinking we can be what we want to be if we can fix those things and turn the 'misses'in to 'hits'.

4 weeks left to find out. But at the end of the day...

Wasn’t talking about Miles. Great DB play on that one. Brazzell and Nimrod should have been 6 but seems like there was one more.

Some takes after letting the bread cool a bit on the rack:

I liked the blackout, even if it was disorienting for Gilbert. The roar out of the dark void makes an impact.

I wonder whether Nico's night is as meaningful with Kentucky having a down year in the conference beside the fact that a win is a win. The Cat's D shut down the Rebels and stifled UGA in losing a close one. Attrition from injury has to have impacted them last night. I do agree that No. 8 seems to shaken off the jitters from the hits he took against OU.

Kudos on the run game and the take-aways.

The one game at a time approach is the way. Coach Heup gets this. Play on Vols!

Arkansas can only go as far as their starting QB take them and when he is hurt and can’t play like the ole miss game they are finished…ole miss needs to win a big game if they want a chance at the CFP

Again, we are asking our WRs to catch same long screen passes and turn it into YAC. It's is the most rails up on the bowling alley offense Ive seen, in a long time.

Nico is going to be gangbusters. Its time to trust him a bit more. The lack of week to week progression with offense is inexcusable.

No reason not to have these freshman resdy for a singular play. Let em return punts. That was such a weapon last year.

gosh its frustrating.
