I was thinking the exact same thing. I think they screwed that up.

I thought maybe the LOS had to be inside the 20 yl for that to be the penalty or something. They later gave LSU the ball at the 2 for the same infraction.

No should only matter where the foul occurs. Thankfully we scored easily on the next play.

Line of scrimmage has to be at the 17 or closer to have ball placed at 2 yard line. Outside of that it is 15 yards.
