Prediction: If you enjoy defense, you should find an Alabama or Michigan game to watch this weekend. If you enjoy offense, this is your game. 1,000 yards of total offense. Tennessee rushes for 350+, and just try to ignore what Mizzou does. A shootout to remember...

TN 52
Mizzou 44

Wow. You seriously think this game will be that high scoring? Hmm. I predicted it Vols 31-20 so we're pretty far apart. I think we can stop Mizzou for 2 reasons. One is Lock isn't 100% & they're not a passing juggernaut team anyhow.

Secondly, Mizzou is more of a running team but we're facing a weaker OL than most teams that we have faced thus far in the SEC. Of course, you could end up being totally right & neither team can stop the other as well. However, I still don't see neither team scoring above 42 points period.

If so, that team would be us I believe & not Mizzou if there's a 42+ on the scoreboard. I think if we score 42+ Mizzou doesn't have a chance. They still might score 25-35 points on us but I just don't see them hitting the 40 point mark at all. I know our defense sucks & we don't know what to expect but I think we're good enough injuries & all to hold them down enough to win. Thanks!

Don't know much about Mizzou's offense but I'm willing to bet it's not better than Kentucky's. DB gets 2 sacks to tie the record and Cam gets back in the flow of things and gets a pick.

We win because we have to. 42-16

I'm pulling my mattress out into the back yard Saturday just in case though.

Dr. Jeckyl Dobbs shows up 50-42 Vols win
Mr. Hyde Dobbs shows up 45-16 Mizzou wins

Our defense is garbage due to injury and will give up 35+ to anybody we play. The offense lives and dies with Dobbs. I don't trust him to be good every week. When he's rolling we are unstoppable, when he sucks..the offense is puke inducing. I predict two different outcomes therefore based solely on Dobbs performance, and will for the rest of the games we play.

There is a difference now. If Dobbs is struggling, then Debord will just have him hand off to Kamara and Kelly. Problem solved. Both RBs can take over this game if needed.

:salute:

Don't remember seeing Charles Mosley last week in the KY Game. Has that transition from OG to DT actually been made?

Barnett and Dobbs will not leave their last game in Neyland with a L.... I don't care if the staff tries to put a leash on Dobbs like they have so many times this year, he will run and run some more... Key to this game as everyone knows is our cruddy secondary and lack of cover skills.... they will try and throw all day. Foreman and Sutton must show up Saturday and we need to play the bend but not break D... make them swing field goals once they are in the red zone, as we will be scoring TDs....

Doubt Mosley plays Saturday unless the game is out of reach. Butch said something in the press conference about Mizzou running the hurry-up (avg 16 seconds between snaps) and testing their conditioning. I'd guess Butch will stick to Vickers & Phillips as much as possible, with Picou, Mixon, & Lewis rotating inside. All JMO, I just think Mosley is more likely to play against a team like Vandy than a spread tempo team.

Makes sense.

Well done Nick. Thanks for the effort.

Dobbs is everything. If he plays well, we punish them in a high scoring game. If he doesn't, we lose to another inferior team. It really is that simple.

The defense isn't very good right now. I know they're dealing with injuries but it's hard to watch. We have talent -- albeit young talent -- all over the field in backup roles. It's not quite Sunseri-esque but it's ugly. And we have one of the highest paid defense coordinators in the nation.

I know, I know --- injuries.

He will have to be a threat or teams will just sell out and stop the run.

Well if you know...then just acknowledge it is the reason for the suckitude and quit throwing shade at our highly regarded DC. He didn't get stupid in a couple of months.

By the way, I went to the archives to look at the 2012 season. I forgot how truly awful that defense really was. Holy cow. And it got worse as the season progressed.

Is Sunseri the single worst coaching hire in UT athletics history?
