Pate made a good point. For all their stats moving the ball on offense, Miss Zoo are putrid at scoring touchdowns once in the red zone.

UT's philosophy: Make them move the ball, but shut things down when they are in the red zone.

If our offense continues to be as balanced and smooth as it has been, I like our chances.
Did he get the teams switched?

Mizzou is #1 in the SEC at RZ scoring and (the more important stat) is #3 in converting RZ trips into TDs.

We are 9th and 14th.

I would think we might take more chances defensively, before they reach the RZ. And also take more pre-RZ chances ourselves. Looking at how we scored vs UConn last week, we may need explosive plays for TDs. Long drives aren't producing TDs like they did last year.

Our zone philosophy might be an asset then if that’s the case.

1:50 mark.

He says they score FGs, and are 40th at touchdown conversions in the red zone.

I didn't check the stat.

You're just looking at RZ scoring generally. Got to drill down to field goals vs. TD. Pate says Mizzu fails to get TDs in the RZ and settles for a lot of 3's. Reasoning is that if TN holds Mizzu to 3's TN will win.

Just feels like things are clicking for us offensively now and that's not stopping.

Our run game is the best in the league. We are running Joe and Joe has been incredibly efficient and effective the last three games. Dont'e Thornton is now a force. Ramel is out of his head, the TE's are rollin'. The only way Mizzou slows us down is if we shoot ourselves in the foot/get screwed by penalties in the redzone.

Brady Cook, Burden, Wease Jr and Schrader are legit though. Our defensive line has to go back to dominating the LOS. Call an aggressive game and impose our will like we have on them the last four times we've played misery.

Heup over Drink

We'll show them they stink.

or…now hear me out with this one… we shut them down well before they reach the redzone, that way they wont even have a chance for fg’s
