How does one “jump” a route when the QB overthrows his target?

Going back you may be right. I thought live it looked like he was going to the wr close to the sideline which is who brooks cut off in front of. Looks like the pass may have been high bc of the end jumping to effect the pass.

It’s so fun to watch Sampson run the ball. His patience has been top notch by itself but to see the burst that he has when that hole opens is ridiculous. If he stays healthy, he is going to put up some big numbers.

The pass was slick kind of in the direction of both the receivers. It was a little up and away from Jolie and inside of Concepcion. Will read it and was in position to make a play for either or.

Hey it was a great play either way. Right place, right time is a skill. And Brooks read McCall’s eyes the whole time. Josephs being a beast made that play and Brooks used his skill to be there

Yep. He read the route and was going to make the tackle if it had been on. Being in the right place at the right time pays off.

Yep. He was in position to make the tackle, so was obviously in position to catch the overthrow.

He made a great play.

But I understand the need by some to make it into more.

Our defense is out shining the offense so far, maybe that’s what is throwing everyone off.

I like it myself, we’re averaging 6+ a carry. 3-3-5 is a defense you should run on and keep running on until they try to stop it.
