Recruiting Forum: Official Ohio Pre-Game/Game Thread

Team just looks lost at times. Hoping for the best vs FL, but this squad doesn't look even close to what I believe most expected to see this year. Ohio, I mean freaking Ohio gave them all they wanted.

Its all well and good to say what if but who knows if the man could turn Dobbs into a legit threat. Maybe Dobbs just does not have what it takes to be a great down field passer. Hes been around 4 years and hasn't got any better and some could probably argue hes gotten worse.

Petrino isn't coming here
Shaw isn't coming here.
Herman isn't coming here

because even if they wanted to Tennessee wouldn't pony up and pay for proof they would rather take a chance on a hopeful diamond in the rough.

Not that I think CBJ is in danger, but some of these assumptions are unfounded because there will be a new AD in place so how can anyone know what they will or won't pay and what coaches will or won't come, even in the unlikely event a coaching change were to occur? Case in point, many didn't believe UT would pay for a basketball coach, yet they did. New AD will mean a lot of things we now assume will not necessarily apply the future.

This program has been a dumpster fire in the most difficult league in the nation. Is it really a mystery why decent coaches with proven track records haven't jumped at the chance to spend 4-5 years rebuilding this program? Hint: it ain't the money.

Well, no holding back now. We tried to save Dobbs to get to this point...3-0 and entering the 4 game gauntlet. No reason to hold back now.

Agreed, if they've been holding back, it's time to open it up now. It's time to see what this team is made of, are they going to step up and embrace the challenge or make excuses. These next four games are going to reveal a lot about this coaching staff as well. I'm already tired of coach speak and platitudes, we need to see a team step up and play to their potential.

P.S. I can use all the coach speak and platitudes I want!

Hahahaha hahahaha. I work as a controls engineer for an animal pharmaceutical company. That moron thinks I work for UT? He is a bigger idiot than I gave him credit for.

You don't give him enough credit then!

Near upsets/actual upsets seems to be the rule, not the exception, in CFB this season

He doesn't know you are the number one Vol fan in Missouri and that you try at all costs to start new recruiting football discussion threads! 👍🏿

Petrino's record at Arkansas:

year 1: 5-7 (same)
year 2: 8-5 (+1)
year 3: 10-3 (+1)
year 4: 11-2 (?)

Seem familiar? His first 2 years at Louisville, he's 9-4 and 8-5.

I would vote for letting our season play out and their season play out before such hypotheticals.
