I'm seeing the perspective pretty clearly. Getting 42 + hung on you does that.
We were also warned when Heupel was hired you'd see the same 5 plays run over and over again and defenses would adjust.
I didn't want to admit it and I've been fighting it back but I'm to the point now that it's getting hard to ignore.
And if I'm seeing it, so are recruits and prospective transfers.
Are we better off today than we were 5 years ago? Absolutely we are. But tonight is a serious reset on where we stand. We aren't contenders, we're second tier. And that sucks when you start to believe and buy in.
After tonight HS needs to be attacked less. It’s apparent the portal is the way to go.I know everyone is upset, but we are still ahead of schedule on the rebuild. I will take losing in the playoff, beating Bama and Florida over Pruitt, Butch and Dooley. We have made a big jump, but we still have a ways to go. OSU, UGA and Bama have been stacking classes for 2 decades. It will take time.
True but dude…it shouldn’t have ended like this. Heupel needs to make changes to take the next step.I know everyone is upset, but we are still ahead of schedule on the rebuild. I will take losing in the playoff, beating Bama and Florida over Pruitt, Butch and Dooley. We have made a big jump, but we still have a ways to go. I don’t necessarily even want coaching changes. I want a coach that makes changes. He has the same gameplan every week. He doesn’t hide weaknesses, doesn’t play into our strengths. Defenses have literally changed their entire defenses schemes to stop our offense and then we continue to do the exact same thing.Even if he does some of yans won’t accept it.
Bc it took Dabo 4 more years to play for a NC. Heck the year before he played for and lost his first NC they went 10-3 and played in the Russell Athletic Bowl.
The same folks will be demanding more coaching changes every year.
