I don't know, I could see Heupel not wanting to run up the score like he usually does against other opponents. I mean he has a plethora of friends and teammates that called/texted him all week. Heup has got a big heart; I am fine if he wanted to keep the peace will people from OU as long as we got the win.

that's what I told my wife. The play calling in the 2nd half was very conservative. I know he loves that place and probably let #14 Josh call some plays.

He's with us now and that's what matters.
I think he saw 2 turnovers in the first half from poor Pass protection that we were fortunate to get the ball back both times.
, and lucky to not give up points.
He saw a D pitching a shutout and thought OU’s best chance to win was if we helped them out with more turnovers.

A few ATROCIOUS calls by the refs gravely affected the score.

1. The fumble recovery TD that was ruled an incomplete pass and led to 2nd oklahoma TD
2. the 50 yd pass to Thornton (down at the 8) that was called back due to a phantom holding
3. Missed pass interference on the 30yd throw to Bru that would've taken us down to the 22, for at least a FG.

that's a 23 point swing...maybe 27

Would've made it 42-9 (or 46-9).

Squirrels dropped pass may have ended up with us scoring a TD instead of a FG...

so then it's 46-9 or 50-9...

IMHO, that's a much more appropriate score for the game that we just dominated on D. Even despite the conservative playcalling and complete tomfoolery by the refs. And that trash field and being down a couple OL.

How many snaps? I never even spotted him?

That he came back at all is at least encouraging though.

Need Campbell & Heard healthy and mauling to unlock this offense.
He started the 1st drive of the 2nd half. After that he might not have gotten back on the field. So encouraging that he got back out there. But certainly seems like he was far from 100% for them to hold him out that much.

Glad we got the win, but just calling out a few things that would've made us all feel better if not for the refs botching the crap out of the game

I feel like it's all a little too reminiscent of making excuses and grasping for straws the dark ages of the past 15 years of UT football...lol
