Didn’t get that vibe. Think Heup didn’t trust the OL with backups in at both tackle spots and trusted the defense to take care of business. Seemed like an offensive minded coach showing how much he’s evolved.

Yes, they didn't pull it back to avoid hurting OU's feelings. They pulled it back because we had two backup tackles, horrid field conditions, injuries, and our defense was dominating. We didn't need to pile it on, risking turnovers and injuries (remember 2 strip sacks on dropbacks?), to win. We needed to drain clock and take care of the football.

He dialed it back because the only way TN was losing that game is if Nico gave them something easy and he knew that!

Amongst a large contingent of ORANGE. Repeating my previous maxim from a decade ago. Sooner fans are class personified. Very glad they haven’t changed. And they belong in the SEC imo.

To win? Who the hell cares about that. We gotta keep our focus on what matters, what is really important. How cool do we look slinging the ball around like the greatest show on turf? Where are our offensive stats going to rank after this game? How many amateur YouTube channels will do fabulous breakdowns of our revolutionary offensive plays?

Come on dawg.... you out here worrying about wins?!?! Get you priorities in line.

It’s crazy—-we win against a Top 15 opponent in the road, and the LOM are like: “HeUPel ShoULd Get MoRe PoinTS”.

SEC road wins are often difficult, ugly affairs. But a win is a win.

Yes, but the ultimate goal is to win. That’s why he made those decisions. Anything else is just ridiculous.

this is a great team. we havent hit stride offensively. Nico hasnt been unleashed yet.
still minimal called QB runs and read runs.

this team is a lot closer to being National Champ then they are to being a fringe playoff team.
start getting used to being f'n great again

Was at a new sports bar on the block that had terrible WiFi so I missed a lot of the board this game. Great win. Thought we’d put up more. Didn’t matter. Our defense is going to bring us home the title this year and Nico and CJH will iron out the difficulties of this game. Gotta bring some bodies back on OL by Bama but feel okay that we will

You arguing with the clouds. Idc the reasoning, he said he dialed it back and that is what i was responding to in my op. If you feel different and/or want to expound on reasoning, please write a letter to the athletic dept a letter to discuss your insight 😂

I agree, but some other poster had a question about dialing it back bc its alma mater. I answered the dialing it back portion, using coach’s words and some of you all get all defensive.
