I think it will be close till midway through the 2nd quarter that is where TN seems to thrive. I expect a 2 TD lead at half, something like 24-10.

Tack on another 10 point in the third then NW answers with a TD but by then its getting too late, 34-17.

Dormady gets some mop up duty and connects with Preston late as NW tacks on another garbage TD.

FINAL: 41- 24

I don't think they have the speed to stop us, Iowa destroyed them. Hurd and Kamara will eat like pigs. We need to utilize Wolf too, if they stack the box.

I think a few bad play calls/lucky breaks for NU will make the game closer than expected early, but we will pull away in the 4th quarter.

28-17

I think it will be a close game. NW is a pretty good team. Turnovers aside I think it will be 31-21 with Tennessee scoring late to put it away. At least I hope so. Then again, maybe we get some good returns and make it a laugher like we did at UK. Sure can't take them lightly, and sure can't turn the ball over! If we do it could be a disappointing outcome!

I think their defense will keep it close in the first half, but we pull away late. If we manage to get a touchdown out of our special teams or defense, it could get ugly. Otherwise, I predict a solid, methodical win in which their offense never does enough to really scare us:

UT: 34
NW: 10

For your old timers from Knoxville. As Ron and Don Wright would say: On Friday the Vols are going to put a good old fashioned "Tennessee Dog Whippin'" on Northwestern.

With all due respect, Purple Vandy hasn't seen this athletic of an offense. It wouldn't surprise me if Coleman Thomas could outrun a linebacker or two.

Maybe a linebacker, but not the LB. Anthony Walker is one of the better young LBs in the country and will definitely be drafted in a year or two

Purple Vandy scores late in 4th and converts 2 point conversion, and we're all peeved we lost the shutout.
