'21 Recruiting Forum: Official Pittsburgh Pregame/Game Thread

It's really less about the recruiters than the coaches. WM puts dudes in the league. He'll recruit because of that. Ditto for RG. Heupel has Heisman winners and has put numerous guys in the league. Again, he'll recruit because of that.

Oh...and UT recruits UT.

Win. They'll come. Dumb to believe otherwise.
BJM and Banks have also recruited lots of dudes.

But you’re right. Win, and they’ll come. Even Butch recruited well here.

PITT was caught
In the middle of a railroad track (thunder)
PITT looked round
And they knew there was no turning back (thunder)
Their minds raced
And they thought what could we do? (thunder)
And they knew
There was no help, no help for you (thunder)
Sound of the drums
Beating in their hearts
The thunder of guns (yeah)
Tore them apart

They've been
Thunderstruck

Had this conversation this morning with a random guy at the grocery store..

No matter win or loss today, it’s not “we back” or “fahr Heupel”… it’s game 2 and we’re probably somewhere in the middle of that no matter the outcome.

But you best believe if we win I’m gonna be screaming “we back” from the mountain tops

Thank you for your service, great day to serve

It is a great day to honor the innocent fallen and those first responder heros that ran toward the danger liked they were trained and freely willing to do. I salute them all and thank them for carrying the cup of freedom forward for all of us.

So CJH scored 45 on Pitt in 2019 and 34 on Pitt in 2020 with UCF talent. On average Pitt scored like 26 points per game over the last 2 years. Therefore, my prediction 38-28 TN. It’s science. 😂
A couple of . CJH had the QB and WRs he needed to make his offense go. We do not yet know what he has at the QB and ER positions. It will take some time and experience to determine where we stand with our talent on this offense. It may take 2 yers to get the talent and experience need to win SEC games.. I hope we can speed the process up and discover we have most of that talent currently available on this team. Todays game will give us some idea on where we stand. Let's win this one and look to the future.

usually I have myself talked into a UT win in games like this but not today. I have no idea what’s gonna happen, and honestly I’m not even exited for the game lol.

I’m not trolling.

Do you think Heupel ever gets a top 15 class here? I’m not so sure.

The guy has been on the job 8 months recruiting under an NCAA cloud. You should factor that in to how you judge his and his staff's recruiting ability. But to address your question, it's contingent upon wins and losses. If Heupel has a successful year one, then there's a good chance he gets a top 15 class in 2023.

Imagine saying we won’t get a top 15 class under a coach who is 8 months on the job dealing with sanctions. This is the kind of crap I’m tired of.

If Heupel wins here he’ll recruit top 5. With Nolen he has a shot at getting top 15 this year.
Perhaps @frank needs to create a non-believer Big Orange Forum….many candidates among us !
